Another guilt trip Watchtower this past Sunday.
by easyreader1970 ini won't go into the article as a whole because it's discussed in another topic here.
but i truly despise the way that the watchtower tries to guilt or frighten people into going out in field service.
not only will jehovah kill that person (unfairly) if you don't preach to them, but he'll kill you too!.

Forcing its members to go from door to door, or else.
Not allowing its members to interact socially with the rest of the world.
Not allowing its members to get involved in politics. After all, God placed authority in the world so there could be some sort of other.
Discouraging its members from giving time or money to real charities.

• There will be more brothers trained to shoulder the responsibility of oversight when persecution breaks out.
• Instead of having one “Circuit Overseer” assigned to 20 congregations various brothers will be familiar with the needs of different congregations, in order to care for these congregations during the above mentioned difficult times.
• If a select few congregations became isolated for one reason or another, brothers who are already familiar with overseeing the needs of entire congregations would already be available to assist.Exactly HOW will these CO's assist during persecution? Will they provide safety? Perhaps offer financial help?

by crazyblondeb innot as good as they use too... but then again they are following the lead of the wts.
why bother with fellowship when you can plug everyone into the telephone.. one one hand they are pushing fs, on the other they are making so many changes that several of the elderly are getting depressed, especially ever since the may 1, 2007 qfr.
with the afternoon bs soon yanked, many not allowed to drive at night, and elderships that don't care enough to orchestrate carpools....it is bad..

In 1987 there was a little old sister whom seemed to have no one, other than the brothers in the cong. My husband loved to talk to this elderly sister. One day after the meeting, my husband gave this sister $20. Later, he spoke to the elder who have given him bible study, and told him that it would be nice if the cong. collected a few bucks for this old woman who had no one else and was tight with money. The elder said: 'Absolutely not. Seniors citizens could get help from the city, we don't need to do that.' My husband was crushed.

As US citizens we have the right to bear arms. In the beggining that law was provided, not to protect us from each other but to protect us from the newly stablished government, being that in the old world people were oppressed by their rulers, we didn't want this to happen in the new world. But times have changed. Now there's no way people can take on the government if necessary, not even if we all had guns.

I don't know, but to me is sounds like Jesus was really only talking about a Heavenly resurrection. That's why he said the resurrected are like angels neither marrying nor being given in marriage.

I don't think the WT will allow such marriages. To them marriages are final unless there's scriptural reasons to end one.
