Two elders wanting to meet with you and your Mom is just the investigative committee. The investigative committee is supposed to be open minded to the possibility that you may not be guilty of the charges. But from what the P.O. said to you, it sounds like they are already convinced you have committed serious wrongdoing and therefore their investigative committee is just a technical formality so that they can properly move on to the judicial committee and of course, rudely disfellowship you.

I agree with Sir82, "cross-examine" those bastard eye witnesses. They were supposed to approach you first BEFORE they ran to tell the elders.

Have your disassociation letter ready, but do not give it to them until they excuse you from the judicial committee room just before they inform you of their decision to disfellowship.

Funeral talks for the "anointed" are usually difficult to listen to or in this case, read. Especially when one of the "anointed" is giving the funeral talk.

Richie,
Why don't you go to the judicial committee to face your "accusers" and reveal the identity of the lurkers that have been watching your activities on this web site. We would all like to know who they are.

The review question on paragraph 23 is a good one:
"Why should you continue to ask questions about what you are learning?"
Answer:
23 Of course, there will be things that you do not understand at first. It can be a little humbling to ask for help, but do not hold back because of embarrassment. Jesus said that it is good to be humble, like a little child. (Matthew 18:2-4) And children, as we know, ask a lot of questions. God wants you to find the answers. The Bible praises some who were eager to learn about God. They checked carefully in the Scriptures to make sure that what they were learning was the truth.—Acts 17:11.

New WT publication encourages "questioning"
by Smiles inmany here have been reproved or disfellowshiped for asking questions about the bible and the jw interpretation of it.. after encouraging the asking of questions, one of the newest wt publications states: "others worry that asking questions could lead to shame or embarrassment.
and some decide that such questions are best left to religious leaders and teachers.
that quote is found in the first chapter of the new publication that all congregations will begin studying each week at their congregation book study.

And the WT publications used with people studying with JWs should also state that "some of our teachings may eventually change from time to time, when they do, you must unquestionably accept the spirit directed change or face explusion and shunning."

Walk up to a presiding overseer and start comparing the WT teaching and practices to Islam and see what happens.
