They do insist on wearing neck ties. No open collars during official business.
so you work your way through this odd memorial thing, in which you feel extremely bored and very unenlightened and soon you have this "excitement" about something called the special talk.
so you attend and it is just like every other talk you heard time and time again, with nothing new and nothing all that special.
yet each year, you still titled it the special talk, knowing that it was really just the normal talk, with more hype.
Yes, I have also noticed that the annual Special Talk never felt "special". Especially when you consider that after the Special Talk is given, the talk outline is just absorbed into the long list of regular public talks that you hear over and over again for years.
i just got home from the appeal, and i won i'm not df'ed!
lol how crazy is that?
anywayz, i'll post the results when i get them on my computer, it make take some time so don't expect the recordings until tomorrow.
Ringo5, LOL!
it's his dad, he say's 'who is this?
the dad says 'where do you know my son from?
dad says, 'richie says he doesn't know you and i want to know how you know my son?
Is Richie's father a JW? If not, then why would Richie's father care about congregation matters? Unless the elders are threatening to press charges against Richie for taking the book, then Richie's father might have a reason to be upset with people online for encouraging the behavior because a church pressing a criminal charge against his son would be embarrassing the father.

SickofLies,
If what you are telling us is true, then the appeal committee's decision to reverse the original judicial committee's decision to disfellowship you might have something to do with your "lawyer" calling them.
Did Kwin show up? I believe he too won an appeal. Walk in with a guy that knows how to win an appeal and the appeal committee becomes your friend?
well i just got home and i have a message on my machine saying that there will be a meeting tomorrow at the kingdom hall at 8:30pm for my appeal.
however, they said on the recording that i will be responsible for getting my own ride there.
there in lies the problem as i don't have a car right now.
Is there a telephone in the back room that they use for judicial committees? Some of us could call during the judical meeting and ask for a Bible study.

Islamists Post Hit List of 'Apostates'
“An Egyptian group calling itself the "al-Jama’ah Consultative Council" has sent an e-mail hit list to people deemed 'apostates' yesterday. The group warned that those people on the list who had left the faith would have three days (as of yesterday) to repent or they would be killed. The group also warned that the wives and children of the Muslim apostates were being followed & would be killed.
Under Islamic Law, the maximum penalty for apostasy is death.
The list includes prominent Muslims living in the West who have spoken out against violent Islamic extremism and intolerance, some still living in Muslim countries, as well as Coptic Christians who have advocated equal treatment in Egypt.”
