  if laws were passed compelling the church to report crimes to government authorities and there was no legal way around it and the church was forced to comply and did comply, nobody would confess their sins.

  it wouldn’t stop people from committing crimes, they just wouldn’t tell their church about it.

  Meeting attendance

  i was wondering what your guys' meeting attendance was like.

  our meetings here is like 50/50 with zoom and in person.

  the spanish has it a little "better" with it being like 30% zoom attendance with most attending in person.. i've heard of congregations in other states having attendance where most (even elders and ms) attend meeting only via zoom and even have their cameras off.

  Are you playing devil's advocate, or are you just ignorant?

  Perpetrators rarely self-report!

  Victims, witnesses and whistleblowers very often DO report, and such reports are well outside of communications protected by clergy/penitent privilege. Therefore, serious accusations of criminality should be promptly forwarded to secular authorities for expert investigation.

  Compelling the institutions to forward accusations of criminal behavior to prosecutorial authorities may deter false accusers, yet prompt an actual perpetrator to better cooperate with secular investigation.

  A truly remorseful perpetrator willing to secretly confess to churchy officials should likewise be willing to face up to secular officials and the full force of law.

  If a confessed perpetrator wants the church to shield him from secular prosecution, was it really a sincere confession?

  Is a secret & shielded confession true remorse? No.

  • Secret church confessions do not facilitate restitution for the victim(s)!

  • Secret church confessions do not adequately protect society, nor prevent future victimisations.

  • Secret church confessions do not force perpetrators into expert monitored rehab systems.

  Any institution, religious or otherwise, receiving reports from victims, eyewitnesses or whistleblowers, particularly in regard to crimes upon vulnerable persons, should mandatorily forward such reports to secular enforcement authorities for further investigation/prosecution.

  Whether or not a perp feels comfy confessing to some religious charlatan is irrelevant.

  and, i'm sure the angels are excited too, because it will give them opportunities to help us with our ministry.''.

  not only will the witnesses be rusty in their return to the field ministry, the angels in heaven have been sitting idle while the pandemic stopped the house-to-house ministry.

  WT may also be looking to generate new "experiences" of how "Jehovah protects his people" while engaging in D2D/KH.

  Or even looking for new video content of loyal JWs that courageously risked becoming covid martyrs "for the sake of the good news", just like WT does with blood transfusion martyrdom.

  There are more cases of active community transmission now than when WT suspended in-person activities.

  Apparently, when cash calls, the GB becomes suddenly willing to have millions of JWs venture out to contract and/or transmit a deadly plague & pestilence during this 'last day of the last/last days'... 💰💸

  WT will probably turn a blind eye if Ministry Ideaz was/is a generous donor to WT.

  the bible studies, after all are to get people to understand they can't gain life without the "faithful slave" ( you have to be baptized as jw to survive) .how does it make you feel?

  Without PIMO JWs we would not be receiving the steady stream of WT document leaks received these days.

  PIMO JWs can also perform helpful relief efforts from inside the WT cult. PIMO elders are often very compassionate, and can be valuable advocates during times of dissonance.

  PIMO bethelites may eventually rise to offices of highest authority where they could possibly reform or dismantle the harmful features of JW culture.

  It is entirely asinine to here criticise JWs that choose a PIMO approach, which in most situations is intended to better situate themselves, or compassionately preserve marital union and other beloved relationships; which rightly take precedence over acronym.

  It is not always a black & white "in or out" issue.

  Religiously "divided" households can certainly coexist happily peaceful, and it is a beautiful magnanimous thing when it can be achieved. Good on them.

  Freedom of personal belief is a human birthright. It is also a private decision.

  Disgraceful that any here would denounce or assign guilt to "PIMO"...

  PIMO should be commended for awakening from the WT cult cocktail, and subsequently navigating a careful retreat that they find is best for themselves and their loved ones.

  That being said, PIMO should not be confused with WT apologism, which is rightly excoriable.

  here in 2022 if anyone says anything against the vaccines even a little bit you are almost apostate.. someone once mentioned all vaccinated sports stars collapsing and someone else said not to speak badly about the gb or by extension jehovah.. the gb can’t get out of this one, it’s gone too far.

  it’s now the case that if you speak against the vaccines you are speaking against the gb and by extension jehovah .
