Thank you all for the input. It's interesting that they also took out any form of grace...i.e.graceouly.
We have the Spirit and do not need GB to step in and take our minds, soul and $$$$$$

how did the watchtower develop "pogonophobia"?
(beard fear) 1950-1960's long hair and beards were a sign of rebelious youth.
then in the 1954 watchtower p.511 questions from readers.
Not only is Jesus clean shaven, but the pictures of him on the steak there isn't a crown of thorns nor the pierced side
now i am going to do a rear thing here and i am going to stick up for the wts.
i realise that the wts hasn't got the best of track record, and sure they have made mistakes.
but if i was to go to another church wouldn't they still have the same issues.
God is love.
Jesus is the way the truth and the life: He has given a "text book" to follow, a guide
Love God with all your heart mind and soul, love your neighbor as yourself: ten commandments all roled up into two easy "laws".
When two or more are gathered in his (Jesus) name he is there. We do not need the GB, or an organization.
Jesus is our mediator : we do not need a religion.
We are social creatures and like to be around like minded people. If you need a place with people, find one while you are learning to be a peace and at home with yourself and your God. This is a good place to start.
Find happiness, have hope, be joyful.
for God is love
i read this article while i was looking at the other magazine you guys were talking about.
they were being really stupid and generalizing about the other religions they were talking about again.
my favorite bit was where someone was saying that they went to a church that passed the offering plate around three times and that they were expected to put money in it each time.
In the congregations I have been involved in the plate (or velvet pouch at the end of a bar) was passed once.
On rare occasions it was passed a second time for special offering, for example missionaries who were going out of the country.
Some of the churches were small but from their hearts they gave and felt good, it wasn't a duty.
Some Churches as for a tithe (10%) which was more oof a goal. The monies were for the local congregation.
anyone could go to the office secretary and get a copy of the year to date figures. Can you do that at a KH? From the elders?

I'm going to print this for later.
Thanks
overwhelming support for the new light!.
quote from facebook:.
just read 2 of the study articles.
My husband will blindly follow the new lite even tho: he has been marked for marrying me, Because I am not in the Lord. (I was a study). He has had no privedges for over a year and a half. No sheparding visits. A while back He wrote a letter and gave it to the PO, no answer. Really?I have been marked as well, even tho I am not a member. Really good witness for a newbie.
he doesn't know what is coming in the July WT. Even tho he has been, in my opinion, mistreated by his congregation, and has been turned inside out by not having JW "friends" greet him at the hall or eat with him, he will loyally follow the new lite. His religion is what holds him together...it is truly sad.
Well, I'm not going to follow the dimwitted lite of the GB. Nor am I going to become baptized, which is why I believe the elders haven't given my husband back his right to parrot, I mean, answer during the WT study. (Shouldn't that be Bible study...hmmmm). I am soooo glad I found this forum. You saved me from the WT$.!
Remember, the loyal JW followers are brainwashed not to think, that is why they will blindly accept the change.(they blindly followed the old new lite, aka the new old new can't keep track of GB gibberish) They don't want to lose their friends and family. Then they would have to admit a wasted life and really see what their WT$ corp/religion is...
Maybe they don't know about the 7/15/13 because they are discouraged from using the evil apostate internet.
Don't blink, it's only an illusion, new lite ahead!
Thank all of you for the insight....
We do the best we can do for the day.
once more ... with feeling!.
"the brooklyn blues" (sung to melody of "those were the days").
once upon a time there was a towerwhere we used to drink from eight to two.remember how we slaved away the hours, and dreamed of all the great things god would do.. then the crushing years went crawling by us,we kept our screwy doctrines on the way.. if by chance i'd see you in the tower,.
Oh, this is good. I can hear Edith Bunker/Jean Stapleton singing in her high pitched voice...Lol
Very creative.
