JWs are not brain damaged, but heart damaged!
by Joyzabel inive been trying to tell my kids to be patient with the jws that they knew and with family that still are jws.
especially when the shunning is in full force.
i was excusing it as brain damaged because we couldnt reason with them or get through the mental block they have.

Scholar,
What bible are you using???? I dont see a Matthew 45:47 in mine.
Also what is a higher critic in your opinion?
Greg fails to realize that interpretation is difficult as shown by the fact that many commentaries differ on scripture and so caution must proceed before any dogmatism on certain texts such as Matt 45:47
In the above statement you realize interpretation is difficult.
He fails though to form an definte view and has exposed himself to any sort of opinion. I would argue that in the case of chronology that there is suffiicient evidence to be certain about dates and an interpretation arising from that.
In the above you now criticize Greg for not forming a definite view.
At any rate I thought I read where you said at one point that the WTS should not be disfellowshipping JWs for not agreeing with the 1914 doctrine. What gives? Have you changed your mind on this?

What do you suppose Jesus meant when he said his followers would be no part of the world?

Hello JCanon,
Would you mind sharing what kind of prescription drugs you might be taking or are supposed to be taking on a regular basis. It might help some of us here understand where you are coming from.

alleymom, If your email is a hotmail email address you can go to the hotmail website to look at your email instead of using outlook express. The hotmail email website has a virus checker that will tell you if it has a virus. Or if you want you can forward the email me at [email protected] and I will check it for a virus. Of course it may be a personal email you may not want to share.

What happens when you change the names around a little
Were these supposedly intelligent people duped, were they fooled ? What new intellectual apparatus now convinces that truth once believed is now untruth. When one become converted as a Seventh Day Adventist then one is admonished to embrace and be nourished in faith so this is the path that Christians traverse in faith. Afterall, we are not talking science but theology so the argument about new discoveries of knowledge as in scientific inquiry does not follow. Faith in the Seventh Day Adventists must always take precedence over knowledge in Christian discipleship. I believe that Seventh Day Adventists who have rejected truth and now follow error cannot be trusted and their credibility is torn to shreds.
scholar
See how ridiculous it sounds when you change the names Scholar?
You also wrote:
Faith must always take precedence over knowledge
So if you find errors in something your church teaches you should just have faith that what it teaches is true anyway? What good is faith without at least some knowledge to go along with it.
