New financial arrangement is about ownership of the Kingdom Halls and Assembly Halls
by fedup inwe may believe that the wt is having financial problems because of the sell-off that has been happening lately.
however, i think the opposite.
i believe the gb has realized that in today's world the money is in the properties that the sheepies have already paid or are paying for.

The thing that really strikes me about all this. Is that Wt got away with it, with out the slightest bit of resistance. I heard of 2 KHs in this country that had 4 refurbishments done on them in a very short space of time. Then after the 2 nd refurbishment 1 of the halls was sold off and a new one built. At the time this just made no sense to me, and I can clearly remember someone trying to justify it by saying how tired and shabby the Hall looked. I remember thinking how last time I looked it looked totally fine to me. You can imagine how blown away I was when I found pages of complaints about unnecessary refurbishments been done. When I read the menlo park scandal I actually lost a nights sleep over it, I was that angry.

Developers 'lusting' After WT Property - 85 Jay St.
by LostGeneration indon't recall this being posted, from november of last year, they'll probably net a cool half billion on it if the market stays hot for another few years.. http://therealdeal.com/blog/2013/11/20/despite-lucrative-offers-witnesses-dumbo-parcel-not-for-sale/.
developers are lusting after a jehovahs witnesses parcel in dumbo that is, for the moment, not for sale despite the best efforts of would-be buyers to pry 85 jay street out of the witnesses hands for as much as $400 per buildable square foot, or potentially $352 million.. the prime locale, bordered by york, jay, front and bridge streets and occupying a full block, is zoned for 880,000 buildable square feet all of which can be residential, as the real deal previously reported.. this is the last great site in dumbo, one unnamed source told the brooklyn eagle, also noting that building on the spot would be a breeze thanks to ample room for a construction office, cranes and concrete trucks.
construction costs are expected to be less than $400 per square foot, including interest on the construction loan, taxes and broker fees.. for now, the site is a parking lot lined by a metal fence topped with razor wire.. since the recent october sale of our five buildings in dumbo, several qualified real estate developers have expressed interest in purchasing 85 jay street, david semonian, a watchtower spokesman, told the brooklyn eagle via email.

CANDACE CONTI & THE NEW CONTRIBUTION DEMAND
by The Searcher inwhen the org lost the candace conti case, the court ordered (pending the appeal) that the org would have to deposit several million$ as security.
the puzzling thing is, the org got a bond company to put up the millions, thereby incurring heavy interest charges.
i've always wondered, 'why?????????'.

What Can An Incorporated Congregation Of Jehovah Witnesses Do To Keep Ownership Of Their Kingdom And Not Let The Watchtower Corporation Sell It Off To Pay Child Molestation Lawsuits?
by frankiespeakin inwhat's your ideas?.
is their some loophole in the very structured bylaws of an incorporated congregation of jehovah's witnesses that will allow them to retain property rights and avoid a hostile take over by the mother corporation controled by the governing body aka faithful and discreet slave entity?.

Interestingly when I was awakening and becoming aware of this, I made an enquirie about this with the P.O at the time. The reply I got was telling.
"I'm not really sure. I dont really like to get involved in these things". I just thought to myself you total F $=% wit. How could of you made a decision like that with out not wanting to get involved in it. The man was just totally unaware of what he had just done.

My Satantic Smurf Scratch n' Sniff Stickers Story (True!)
by Phaedra inback in the early 80s when i was around 9 or 10, my slightly-older best jw friend relished telling me all the latest scare stories she heard about the satanic smurfs popping off of wallpaper, cutting babies with sharp objects, and running through kingdom hall corridors swearing.
wide-eyed with no critical thinking skills at.
i listened and believed every single word.

Is sex abuse in the Wt that big of a problem
by joe134cd inbefore i start, i'm not a wt apologist and i am certainly not trying to minimise sex abuse.
i was looking at the amount of sex abuse cases in light of witness population.
just say wt ended up on paying out on 30,000 individual abuse cases.

Before I start, I'm not a Wt apologist and I am certainly not trying to minimise sex abuse. I was looking at the amount of sex abuse cases in light of witness population. Just say Wt ended up on paying out on 30,000 individual abuse cases. Doing simple maths 30000 / 8000000 publishers x 100 = 0.375%.
Interestingly the Pope came out today and admitted that 2% of Catholic Priests were pedophiles amounting to 8000 priests. This is accounting for those who were under direct oversight of the RCC. God only knows how many more there would be amongst the members. I think the abuse cases with the RCC & WT differ in many ways. The Priests were employees of the catholic church and there for the churh had over sight over their employees actions. The Catholic Church should of known better. With the watchtower case, some of the offenders were not employees of Wt making it harder to make Wt accountable. Here's an example. Just say I join a running club of which one of the members is a known thief, and he then steals off me. Hey it would of been nice if someone told me, but the club can't be held responsible for not telling me.
Ok just say I DA myself over the abuse issue. So where else do I go. I certainly wouldn't go to the Catholic Church because I believe they have got an even bigger problem.
I realise that the Catholic Church is far bigger, but when you consider the circumstances surrounding many of the Wt cases and the volume of them. Is it really just a bunch of angry ex members trying to make a big deal out of something that is no more prevalent in other religious groups.

Is their any evidence/proof that the G.B.enjoy first class flights accomodation in their travels ?
by smiddy ini`m just curious about the travel arrangements of the g.b.members when they travel overseas to conventions in europe , africa , australia , etc.. is their any verifiable documents /receipts etc.
that prove they stay in the most up market hotels , or fly first class in planes ?, being treated like v.i.p.`s ?.
no human being is exempt from the temptations of abusing his power or position of authourity , especially when big money is involved , and the g.b.

I can't remember Ray Franz making any mention of special privileges while traveling, and he dose talk extensively of his round the world trips. Mind you that was 34 years ago.
