new church, new feelings

recently i have been going to a new church called christ the king.

it's not a megachurch but smaller size.

it's not in a typical church, rather they worship in a warehouse.

There is no church one earth.The church you belong to is spiritual and not made with human hands. The Messiah set us free from the fleshly things including man made temples.He destroyed earthly representationsof his Kingdom 2000 years ago.Everything since then is counterfeit. Need Help: What Would You Try to Tell Current JW's?

i've been journaling a lot the past couple of years....it was recommended to me by a therapist when my anger was boiling over.. so recently i decided to start an exercise: what would you tell them if they would listen?.

i've started listing my top 10 and it's interesting......i'm over all of the doctrinal insanity.....i'm forever indebted to the more scholarly among us that have put so much effort into research, writing, etc.!!!.

mine all focused on more 'human' subjects....emotions, pain, etc.

i saw them coming down the street...the excitment grew.....then 2 people walked up to my door.... .

one could hardly speak english...struggling to invite me to the memorial....i said "why should i go".

they told me ...bec jesus died for everyone just one day a year is very important.... .

Many people woh ar enot even religious have moral strength. True believers would be recognised by their love . That love has no boundaries and is avaialable to anyone. It does nor equire anyone to go to a certain church. Besides God does not dwell in man made buildings or organisations. He dwells in the hearts of those who beleive in The Mesisah. That is all that is required. It is man that put conditions and boundaries on love . This is why the end of Gods dealing with man in the flesh ended in the 1st century. Fufilling all prophecy

James 2:26 - "faith without works is dead"

i was contemplating this verse this morning... what did james mean by "works"?

and it hit me like a bolt of lightning.. now, wts would have us believe these "works" are preaching and meetings.

however, could that be what james was referring to?

the works are the fruits of the spirt check them out.They ar eall qualities of love.It s go nothing to do with how amny hours you puton your report card each months. The works of the perosnwlaking in spiirt and truth will be one of love, justice,mercy, etc et towards all believers and non bleeivers not just those in their own church

hi, i'm doing some research, which many here have participated in and could do with some help.. on another forum some months ago someone commented that in a july 1992 watchtower it said that the emotional effects of disfellowshipping may last far beyond reinstatement.

i thought this a really interesting statement and would like to include it in my assignment, acknowledging the harm done by disfellowshipping and its not just a protective and disciplinary process.

i don't know if i believe they would actually go that far.. my problem is that i have no access to wt literature (i dont really want fo visit my old congregation library) and the online library on www.jw.org only goes back to 2000. does anyone here have access to bound volumes and a bit of time that they could check this out for me?.

all things were fulfilled in the 1st century.it was obvious the messiah was talking to the people in that generation not a generation 2000 years later.. christianity has for 2000 years placed itself in the shoes of those 1st century beleivers and think all things pertainott hem today.when infact none of it does.

the prohecise of the messiah cmae true in the 1st century including revelation which is symbolic, metaphorical apocolyptic language showing all tha thad been done .

the kingdom is here.the king rules and has done for 2000 years.

Sorry about the spelling its my keyboard sticking. We have ot remember the way the Jews wrote about events in those days. They used metephors and symbolic apocolyptic language and often exaggerated to make a point. If you noticemost of revelation was taken from the old testament prophets like Ezekiel etc. I think revelation is a spiritual summary of an essay. It sums up all the main points of what was written.

As for the seventy week prohecy of Daniel thatwas also fulfilled exactly in the 1st century.

All we need to do toknow what is true is read the words of The Messiah "truly i tell you, you will not finish going through all the tribes of Israel until yous ee the son of man coming in his kingdom", "truly i tell you some of you standing here (the disciples in the 1st century not us) some of you standing here will not die until you SEE the son of man coming on the clouds. No one anywhere can change that to mean something else, yet not one church teaches the fulfillment of prophecy in the 1st century and the importance of the destruction of Jerusalem to Christians today. Everyone in the New Testamant knew it was the last days, the last hour in THEIR generation.Why for 2000 years have churhces put themselves in place of The Apostles and preached the end always ahead of us . We are all living under a delusion and miss what happened, when and to who
