when i was a kiddo growing up, i wasn't one of those that we all heard at assemblies giving their experiences... "here, let me show you the answer from the bible..." <reaching into their a** bringing out a bible>.

no, i would sit there in the audience, and think... that person has balls to do that.. when i went to grade school, i tried to keep as low of a profile as possible.

it was bad enough that i had to start the day by not saying the pledge of allegience like all the other school kids.

Hey Jim-TX I also can relate to much of that. I would however try my hardest to fit in. I ate the birthday cake, in art classes I made the Christmas & Easter decorations (but managed to find a bin I could throw them in on the way home), I told my friends I got present at Christmas etc. I hated not fitting in with the normal kids at school. As I got older, I became a little rebellious. I smoked, I secretly dated worldly boys & swore like a trooper. I somehow managed to attend a couple of birthday parties!!! I hated going witnessing & was only seen a couple of times out witnessing By school friends. It was so hard growing up being so sheltered from the real world, wishing I didnt have to lie so much to fit in with the normal kids....

is this still the plan?.

i'm interested in hearing from all on the forum where 'their' program will be broadcast.. our local kingdom hall will be live streaming the meeting.. .

Thanks for starting this post Clarity. Words cannot express how thankful I am for this site - it gave me back my sanity. I dont post much but look at it everyday. As a born in with most of family a jw, It really is comforting knowing there are many here who understand what it's like. I attended the last day if the DC a while back & saw a good friend I hadn't seen for couple years (when I became inactive). She sai I looked the happiest she had ever seen me - I have the wonderful ppl on here to thank for that. So... BIG thank you everybody!!!

usa, arkansas | man fires gun at a group of jehovah's witnesses.

centerton police arrested a man accused of firing close to 19 rounds at a group of jehovahs witnesses on saturday (sept. 28th).

john baldwin, 35, bonded out on $50,000 sunday morning.. according to a probable cause affidavit, three jehovahs witnesses approached baldwin in his front yard at rainbow farm road and baldwin told them, get your (explicit) off my property, i moved out here to get away from people like you.. the report states the jehovahs witnesses apologized and as they were getting in their car one of them heard get me my 9.. baldwin admitted to firing a gun at three jehovahs witnesses when they drove away from his house, according to the report.. baldwin was booked into benton county jail on felony charges of aggravated assault.. several of baldwins neighbors said he moved to the neighborhood less than a month ago.. kristi tidwell who lives nearby said she was home when police arrived at her neighbors home.. my husband and i were working around the house, we had the blinds open in the back we saw probably seven or eight cop cars pulling in there, tidwell said.

I hope there were no young kids around, they would be traumatised. what ever happened to say 'no thank u, not interested' and closing yr door or walking away. No excuse...

the letter read twice at our meeting stated that the travelling delegates should be at least 19 yrs of age, but be an exemplary publisher for over 20 yrs.

how can this work?.

Did she tell a lie? No, she did not. She was not a liar. Rather, she was using theocratic war strategy, hiding the truth by action and word for the sake of the ministry.

How is hiding the truth by word AND action not a lie? Where do they get this crap from?

I've noticed that last few years majority getting baptised are young & have jw parents. Very few from d2d work... The one person I knew who was baptised thru d2d work became inactive after a year later. We caught week last week. I planted a few seed subtle seeds - I don't think they will set foot in a KH again. Mission accomplished!!
