You’re not the one causing stress to your mother. It’s this cult that’s responsible and your mother herself. Your mother's “break down” is just a manipulating maneuver on her part. It looks better for her if you’re attending, remember, this cult is all about keeping up appearances. Don’t let yourself get played. And yes, you will awaken the sleeping bear if you will go. And that might be the start of your mother having to shun you if you don’t get back into the fold. Do the right thing, get explosive diarrhea.

Memorial.. To go or not to go
by Emily1987 inso, as some of you will know myself and my husband are in the process of fading.
haven't been to a meeting since beginning of 2017. .
we weren't planning on going to the memorial, but last week my mother broke down and said that we have to go to the memorial even if it's the only meeting i go to this year.

Watchtower set for its biggest pay day, ever.
by pleaseresearch inif this is true, and we will have to wait and see.
prince could give everything to the watchtower.
so that's his $300 million fortune.

Well, if he did get strongly advised to set up a will by his financial advisors I sure hope the same ones told him it's a bad, bad idea to make it out to a sect. Especially one that you're not totally devoted to.
Prince didn't have any kids so I don't see how he could have viewed a will as that important. But, only time will tell. They say the guy was a genius and that's often a fine line from being insane, so who knows. I'm pretty sure he forked over substantial amounts to the WT when still alive.

It's very possible he didn't have a will. He was still pretty "young", at least at heart and I'm sure he didn't think he would die anytime soon. And that the worst that could happen to his money if he did is that it would be appointed to his next of kin.
To will all your fortune to a religion you don't follow 100% sounds extreme, unless of course he viewed it as an atonement for his "sinful" way of life. But I really, really hope he wasn't that confused, poor guy.
If the WT gets even a penny of this ridiculous amount of moolah it's a penny too much and I will be pissed.

what sort of reactions have you gotten when talking to other jw when telling them the "truth about the truth"?
by AmIright inits funny ive read some stories on here about how they have become so infuriated by what logic dictates as being true and their own denying of it because it completely screws up their belief and shows how hypocritical it is xd some look like a nuclear reactor about to blow xd.
share you experiences here :) .

I began to do deep research into the WT in the fall of 2014 and started to confront my mom at the same time. First I was "subtle", as in I wanted "to understand" and I'm sure she was counting time when talking to me on the phone. She lives in my home country in Europe and I live in the states.
She used to call me up at least once a week but now she only calls perhaps every three weeks. I'm sure she's fed up by my inquiries, lol. Once she even told my sister in Europe that she feels mentally drained after talking to me, haha. Well, that's not my fault, thank your religion mom! :)
She has badgered us for over 30 years on a daily basis about this sh*t, it's not more than fair that she now gets to answer a few question about this bullshize that turns up to be a big, fat lie. Of course it makes her feel bad and so it should. I won't stop exposing this antichrist cult she got involved in and that affected my own development.

Ansolutley insane. The old corps is coming back with near as new pirate clothes?? And then he needs to convert into modern day clothes? Why? Would Jehovah kill him if he didn't? Their god must be so shallow. Heck, if I had been dead and buried for hundreds and hundreds of years and get resurrected the last thing on my mind would be dress code. -

I just watched the Unwitness and friggin loved it. We need more of this. They do invite the public, they do say it's personal to take part and people do have the right to stand up to a lie who's main purpose is to minimize Christ.
This is a cult who's members are not allowed to discuss, to read the Bible by itself, to think, therefore it leaves not many other options than this. And no, you can't just "discuss" with a JW, believe me, I have tried.
I'm sure there are many in that cong that are already awake and many that are on the border, have doubts etc. This can very well give them that nudge to do deeper research.
These activist should wear t-shirts with JWFacts.com printed in large on both front and back and reveal them as soon as they stand up.

Try to live with my mom for even a week and then tell me how much you love her. Seriously...
When someone tells me my ruler is the devil and that I will get slaughtered any day now (for 30+ years already) and have my eyes picked out and eaten by crows yea, I'll get a little defensive. That, and the fact that I like to expose the true nature of their seven evil leaders.

Carla, I just took a screenshot of what you wrote. Splendid! You put words to everything I wanted to express (to my mom) but somehow couldn't get it together as well as you. Hope you don't mind me using it next time I'm talking to her. :) -

My cat died suddenly!
by Fisherman ini did not realize that they were symptoms that something was wrong with my cat -but i did notice that my cat was breathing a little differently for a period of about a few days.
i also noticed prior and after to that, that on occasion, my cat would cry at the litter box, but that was a very seldom event.. anyway, about a week ago i noticed the symptom that my very loved cat was breathing heavy.
so i called a taxi and i was going to rush him to emergency room for cats.

I'm so sorry for your loss, it's terrible. It really rips your heart out.
When my then 13 year old cat got sick, she started to withdraw. She was hiding under the bed, didn't eat anymore and she was also vomiting a lot. And her breathing was laboured too, it was like she was air hungry.
It was on a weekend and we drove her to an open vet clinic. There they told us she was jaundice, had yellow gums and eyes. They x-rayed her and it turned out she had a large mass on her liver, most likely a malignant tumor. She was so sick and miserable we decided then and there to put her out of her misery. We definetly didn't want to put her through uncertain cancer treatments. She was put to sleep for good in my lap and we cried like babies.
I "saw" her in the corner of my eyes for a long time after at home. The emptiness was so huge and I felt like I had amputated a big part of me. I still think of her and the joy she brought us all even though this was over ten years ago.
I'm sorry for you your friend passed in such way and I hope you have loved ones to get support from now. And I also hope one day the sadness will lift and you can cherish all the wonderful memories your cat gave you without feeling the weight of a heavy grief.
Big hug to you.
