I'm thinking the same thing - too good to be true.
Even the quote "The Hard Core Evil" followed by a picture of Hensel
as an apostate, i'm currently compiling a list of changed doctrines and "new light" changes over the years.
this is mainly for discussing with witnesses in the future.
i feel if i don't present full truth of their own doctrine, they will knock me down and rightfully say that i did not give full infomation(hypocrites much?).

Wow, so much good stuff in that interview:
Transplants are cannibalism.
Blood and transplants are banned.
1975 is the year to watch for.
JW's don't petition or protest.
Believing in young earth creationism.
Even that bit at the end "Space travel is a waste of time."

So pleased for Shoba since she studied the whole bible teach book with him herself and at first when she first started studying he said (her husband) she had to make the choice between him and her and she told him straight out that if she had to make that choice she would choose JEHOVAH!! So that was a very strong stand for the truth. So she has been blessed for sticking steadfastly to Jehovah and now she has just put her first report in as an unbaptised publisher in March! :) Isn't that great.
Umm... no it's not great. JW's don't break up families, not at all. Nope.
I do however like the way she refers to herself as a COW. Is that part of the theocratic language?
the herald sun newspaper article titled "jehovahs baby rule " "a sick babyis under the guardianship of new zealand`s high court so she can receive life-saving blood transfusions.......she could develop life-threatening complications without a transfusion.. to be fair the article also states "she has been given a 90 per cent survival rate with treatment, but is likely to need a blood transfusion-which her parents will not allow as they are jehovah`s witnesses.. my observations /concerns are this : jehovah`s witnesses refuse blood transfusions.a baptised jw who takes a blood transfusion can/will be disfellowshiped for not abiding by jw`s doctrine.going against gb policy direction is causing division.. jehovah`s witnesses do not beleive in donating blood to a blood bank even if it is theirs for their own private exclusive use .. official teaching on blood by jehovah`s witnesses is, it is not to be stored, it is to be poured out on the ground.it is not to be used for any purpose.. jehovah`s witnesses will not use blood and bone in their gardens, they will not eat blood sausage, and a married couple will certainly not engage in sexual activity when the wife is menstruating.. the dilemma/inconsistencys :why is it only a conscience matter, no penaltys applied for anyone to accept every fraction of blood that is donated by other people.?
they will use blood that is donated by other people , processed in a laboratory into various fractions and injected into their own bodies , and they dont see a problem with this hypocricy ?
double standards ?.
JW's are moskitoes.
wow...hard to believe anyone would openly make this kind of comment.... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/09/09/richard-dawkins-pedophilia_n_3895514.html?ncid=edlinkusaolp00000003#slide=989667.
It certainly sounds bad. but I'd be interested to read the Times article it got the quotes from - just notice this at the top of the article > Religion News Service | By Trevor Grundy
It is possible this is out of context quotes attempting to blacken Dawkins name considering he's religion's worse enemy. Maybe not, but worth keeping that in mind, especially considering this goes right against the grain of Dawkins vocal statements against child abuse.
i think as things get real tuff for the governing body that the build up of stress from dealing with a corporation founded on lies and manipulation of people that is comming to a head and all the lawsuits and possible criminal prosecution and the day today pressure of having all your decision back fire on you.. the final stage of wishful thinking is the nightmare stage where the whole delusion falls apart.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/wishful_thinking.
i'm thinking just like hitler killed himself rather than face life anymore, that some on the gb may reach that stage..
I don't wish for this to happen, but I wonder what the fallout would be. Do you think the remaining GB members would withhold information from the Rank and File so as not to alarm them? Or maybe even straight up lie and say brother so and so just died of a heart attack - so there is no 'reproach on Jehovah's name'.
It certainly wouldn't be good publicity if a GB member committed suicide.

They're cowards - they would avoid critical thinking like the plague and retreat into black and white thinking on all issues. Black and white thinking is comfortable.
Most hardcore JW's are more or less happy in their own little world, it's not till you employ critical thinking that the pain kicks in. I think it would take alot for their delusion to fall apart - throw them in prison and they will just think they are being persecuted (though they'll throw others under the bus to avoid going to prison in the first place)
I don't the GB are having any long dark nights of the soul, or challenging themselves in any way. No crisis of concience for them. They're comfortable being Christs chosen ones.
just once after serena williams says "thanks to jehovah god" i would love to hear the commentator ask her "when's the last time you've been out in field service or attended a meeting"?.
.
What if you thank Jehovah for the food you are about to eat, and then you get food poisnening from said food?
jw leaks has published the appellant's reply briefs in the case: "candace conti v. watchtower bible and tract society of new york & north fremont congregation of jehovah's witnesses".. 67 pages (wtbtsny) and 58 pages (nfcjw) including documents of service.. .

One thing I'm curious about - when the elders became aware of the child abuse conviction in 1998 as Watchtower stated they did - did they at this point inform the parents of the congregation?
If not, it would show that even if they knew of the conviction in 1993 they still wouldn't have informed anyone.
were familiar with the statements about how a persons claim to be anointed is between that god and the individual.. the governing body went on to say: "a number of factorsincluding past religious beliefs or even mental or emotional imbalancemight cause some to assume mistakenly that they have the heavenly calling.
we thus have no way of knowing the exact number of anointed ones on earth; nor do we need to know.
the governing body does not keep a list of all partakers, for it does not maintain a global network of anointed ones.
Good point.
