by run dont walk inanytime something went wrong in the world with an individual, they would use them as example over and over and over again.. the most common one i heard was brother a got into big trouble with __________ (insert problem here, pick any one), see this is what happens when you leave the organization.. so how many jw's will be saying ............. "did you hear what happened to kobe, big successful athlete, see he didn't have god's organization and satan got him.".
i wonder how many jw parents especially in the la area will make their kids stop wearing number 8. he did and admit to committing adultrey.

when they walk from door to door or mingle after a meeting they appear to be models of ideal marriages.

Is Society Really That Degraded?
by pettygrudger ini just read this on another thread:it seems to me , that nowadays "anything goes" and thats a shame.
do any of you really believe that our societies morals are any less decrepid than any other time in history?
if so, can someone tell me of any time in history that was more "morally" righteous, pure or wholesome?.

I was the one who wrote that statement in another thread..It had to do with the paintball hunting of naked women. My point was and is that a part of society wants to do whatever they want but not be held responsible for it. To me thats a cop-out. At least stand up to it, and be a better person for it. I see nothing wrong with that. It is what it is pure and simple. But, there are a lot of good people out there and the good ones outnumber the bad, thats why I'm here...

with the 14 remaining blocked arteries, there was not much hope.
even a by-pass would only correct 3 or 4 arteries and give me a slight lease on life.

Music was more original years ago. Many groups these days are influenced by artists of years past. I like music from "punk" to Johnny Cash. I always preferred music that had some meaning to it. Not "Oops , I did it again". Please, Britney and Christina are a dime a dozen.. Not all rap is about violence , hate or money, some of it is positive. Its just the usual money, sex, and violence that "sells"....

through the means of educational tv (such as the simpsons), i have always thought that a sufferer from tourettes syndrome cussed and swore for most of his waking life.. however, just a few moments ago, i encountered this in thursdays the times:.
manchester united expect to complete the acquisition of tim howard, the american goalkeeper who suffers from tourettes syndrome, within a fortnight.

Well, whatever Howard has, it hasnt hurt him here. He's a good 'keeper..He's third on the depth chart behind Kasey Keller and Brad Friedel for the US national team, and will eventually take them over.
