I'm sorry for the terrible things you and your family has been thru. That is the don't rock the boat JW mentality to kick you off of their site instead of showing love and concern. If their little paradisiac world gets shook they can't handle it. Their first reflex is to sweep it under the rug. Bravo to you for having the guts to tell your story. I hope you and your family freedom and happiness.

Very thoughtful, well worded, and touching letter. If anything will touch him this letter should do it. Hang in there though, it may still take some time. Good Luck!

Prophecy Fails, Witnesses Too Brain-dead to Notice
by metatron inthe king of the north collapses and falls apart - effectively vanishing.. do any witnesses wake up to see how bogus their prophecies about this were?.
the un is proven to be toothless and - often - irrelevant- far less than a world government and with.
far less practical force behind it than ever before.

Didn't you hear? There is a family of Polar Bears in Northern Alaska that is now the King of the North. I think I read that in the WT.

Living a lie?
by Victorian sky ini've been inactive for several months.
i know it's not the truth and mentally i've walked away.
would it be living a lie to remain inactive?

I agree with Soledad, if you're not living up to their rules they will probably shun you anyway. My wife and I resighned because we needed the closure and didn't want to be looking over our shoulder every time we done something that didn't agree with their rules. It is hard sometimes with the family shunning, but in my opinion everyone has to live with their decision. I have to live with mine and they have to live with theirs. We just let them know that we love them all and we are here if they ever want to talk with us. We are happier now than we have ever been. The only regret I have is ever being a JW in the first place. Everyone has to make that decision themself and do what you can live with. Good Luck

Did I turn my back on Jehovah's True Organization?
by sandy ini was wondering as i have been lately; did i turn my back on god and am i wrong for turning my back on the organization?.
are there any of you out there that feel like you have a real personal relationship with god with or without religion in your life?
do you still call god jehovah?

Absolutely not!! If they were Gods true org. their predictions would come true. Not a single one has. But they claim to have gotten their info from God. You did not leave Jehovah's true org. you left the Pharisee's. You know, the ones that put burdens on people, the ones that Jesus condemned. Be glad your out!

King from the North
by Cheyannesways inprior to 1978 did the jw's use daniel 11 about the king from the north and the king from the south to imply this was signs of the great tribulation coming or signs of the end?

Chaos,
Welcome! Glad to hear that your SIL had the good sense and fortitude to leave the claws of the JW's. Glad for your daughter too. It would be a good idea to show your SIL this site. It would help him in his resolve to stay away from them. Again, welcome!

WE HAVE THE POWER TO CAUSE CHANGE
by SHUNNED FATHER inthis is in reply to night warrior's comments earlier.
i agree with you.
change can be and has to be done.

Dear Shunned Father,
I agree with you 100% I think a good way to begin with would be to start trying to reach people who are only studying or who are return visits. I was not given any choice, since I was raised a witness,I never would have thought my own mother could or would join an organization without knowing its history or who the founders were, what their former teachings were, if any of their interpretations of the Bible had come true. It is so unbelievable to think that all these years we have been such suckers, the Wtbts has kept all their false religion and society so secret for so long by fear, lies and manipulations its time to expose all of their past, all of their rules, how they have the right to change their teachings like they change their shoes to match whatever the situation calls for. I have found that JW,s are so brainwashed its very hard for them to change ,but if people could be reached before being baptized or before the Witnesses could get a grip on them, it would be alot easier for them to escape from these vipers.

Funkyderek,
I appreciate your suggestions and think they are right on the money. I agree that educating her on the ways of the WT cult will go a long way towards keeping her out of it.
Outnfree,
Being forwarned and forarmed is an excellent suggestion. I will educate her about how the WT fits the criteria of a CULT and how they control peoples lives including her sisters. Thanks for the help.
Obiwan,
She looks up to them alot, so it would be very dangerous to let them have free access to her. Thanks for the input.
