Yes, it was the day I sent off my da letter. Real joy!

one thing that always struck me was the rather dour nature of the organization.
i know people laugh, and at seem to have a good time, at least occasionally.
however, one thing i just haven't seen is a real outpouring of joy, like david dancing like a crazy man or some of the other occassions in the scriptures when it seems like people were almost overcome with joy.. anyone here ever feel real joy as a witness?

i believe they are "cultlike" but i don't think they are a "cult"........and you?
YES!!! Anyone who can break up families the way they do, cult fits them to the tee.
one of the photos you won't see from nasa's latest mars mission is this one i acquired from one of my sources there at nasa.
they have indeed found evidence of life on mars but have classified the photo as above top secret due to its implications.
mike, champion of alabama jokes!
I can see the JW's fighting over that door. Leave a mag in a door before you start out for that trailer and you get 750,000 hours each way! They would kill each other for that.
anyone saw the news on micheal jackson?
looks like he's is in trouble again!
Tink, Hi there! We haven't talked to you in a while. Hope all is good with you. We had our 1st year anniversary out of the borg yesterday. Things are getting better every day.
I think MJ will just hire Cochran again and throw alot of money at it and get out of it again. He might use his good looks to get out of it.

hey everybody, we made it!!
it's been one heck of a year, but we got thru it and things are getting better.
i guess its true, time heals all wounds.
Lovinlife,
Thanks for the congrats! The reason we remember the day so good is becacuse we wrote a letter, had it noterized and sent it registered mail RR.
Cyberguy,
Thanks! We will probably never join another church, but we just want to go to check them out for ourselves. Since the WT lied to us about everything else, we figured they lied about them too.
Mortons68,
Thanks! We are enjoying it now and Merry Christmas to you and yours too!

Hey everybody, we made it!! It's been one heck of a year, but we got thru it and things are getting better. I guess its true, time heals all wounds. It's been a year today that we offically resigned from the WTS. It feels good to be free from the borg and all of their bogus rules. We haven't joined any other church but are ready to start going to see what is out there. We were both raised in the borg and have never been to one. We have started telling all of our non borg relatives that we have left the JW's and are they ever happy about it. We are finding a new support system in our other relatives. I have two Witness relatives we told about the pyramid and the UN scandal and showed them the documents I printed off of Randy's site on the UN. They were shocked! I'm not sure but I don't think he is going to the Kingdom Hall any more. I'll find out more later. We just wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you out there for your support and help thru all of this. We hope we can meet some of you some day. So all of you feeling down and depressed, hang in there, Time helps it to heal and the freedom is wonderful. The "LIGHT" is getting brighter every day. Thanks again,

hello to everyone of you on this forum.
i am new here...have been reading this site since january of this year.
i have been raised in the truth and published for 36 years...(yes, i have been very timid about posting...because i am new and because i feel i must have something of value to contribute).. since feb. i have seriously been reconsidering this org.
Welcome to a great place with great people!
.
i was 15, quite old compared to some.. a friends child has just got baptised at 13.....to think that she knows what she wants for the rest of her life at that age seems ludicrous.. so, who here got baptised at the youngest age?.
dig
I was 9 too! It's a tie!
i have been reading posts for a while, but everytime i try and post my intro, i dont know what to say, so i suppose i will just write what comes to me.
lets see, i was born and raised in the "truth", i have never known anything else my whole life, so this is weird for me to think differently.
i was df'd about 4 years ago when i met my "worldly" husband, i have tried for the past 2 years to be reinstated, but i guess that i have not tried hard enough, according to the elders (who btw have not been very nice or loving toward me).
Welcome Monkey!! It's hard to deal with at first, but it is well worth it in the end. To be free and have your children free from the borg is a blessing you can claim for yourself and your family if you have the courage now. Good Luck in the future. Robotnomore
i haven't been on this board for a while.
i've been on a conservative ezboard trying to see if we can't do something about political issues.
i've also got a new job, had to get the car fixed, been best man in a wedding, and watched the two towers on vhs.
I'm another one of the the lucky ones that was born into the borg. I spent all of my life and raised 2 of 3 children in it. Lost all of my family including the 2 children. So without a doubt, it will affect us the rest of our lives. But we are working thru the problems as they hit us. We resigned officially about a year ago. We have never felt as free as we do now. Our last child expressed that she is happy not to be a part of the borg any more, and that makes it all very worth it!!!
