Sure there is... especially when they see the errors of the Borg and decide to make changes in their beliefs. I confronted my family and since then they have left the dubs. I am definately glad I did!

Lost My Job Part 3

well, there's another update... .

if you missed my previous 2 posts, here's some to catch up...part one and part two.

i emailed the township trustee and i told her of my situation and that he found out from my dad that i lost my job at wal-mart and i have been trying to buy time to find another job with no avail.

Yiz man... post your resume on monster.com Sounds hokey I know but I kid you not, I got at least 10 calls within 3 days of posting my resume. That is where I found my current job and I love it. Its worth a shot. What city are you in? Maybee we can pitch in with some help finding you some assistance locally.

Where Does the $$ Come From??

many, many people have lengthy recollections of getting nowhere in field service.. no bible studies, not much placement of magazines or books, especially not for significant cash.. so where is the wts getting all their money from?.

i've been wondering..... are (and were) dubs expected to purchase a certain amount of materials every month and then just take on the responsibility of getting rid of it (and getting back their money) themselves?.

if so, you know what that would mean.... it would mean that the wts's millions mostly come from their own 'flock'.

LMAO... they didnt get alot of money from me. Donations from my own pocket or otherwise. If I got any donations for the magazines it went toward my lunch fund.

i'm a deskside support guy working for a service company, at one of their contracts.

i enjoy fixing things, although some of the customers could use a good knock on the skull sometimes.. i make pretty decent money for what i am doing.. for me, it's what i've wanted to do my whole life.

i had a computer from the time i was born, and love it since then.. what do you guys do to bring home the bacon?.

I work for ADT Fire and Home protection. I am a security consultant and I actually do really like my work. I get to set my own hours within reason and I work with really nice people.

the ones where you dialed up directly into someone elses computer.

the society told them to shut down and they did because talks were being shared on-line.

Hey Mark.. I honestly doubt we talked since I came in on the tail end. I am in Kansas and that is where my board was based out of. Had some real cool ANSI graphics for the opening screen that a buddy of mine from another BBS made for me.

Naw, this was BroNet and PhunNet (thanks for the reminder intro) that I was talking about. Its really old school stuff. Probably from about 8 to 12 years ago.

I used to get on the old WT BBS's every once in a while. The ones where you dialed up directly into someone elses computer. Did any of you used to do that as well? The Society told them to shut down and they did because talks were being shared on-line. A friend and I actually had a branch of those BBS's callled "The Burning Bush".
