  Were you born into the jw faith?

  how many of you on this forum were born into the jw faith?

  do you think this put you at a disadvantage when leaving the org.

  do you think that someone who becomes a witness later in life would have an easier time adjusting back to a "normal" life?

  I was born a JW, and me thinks it is hard either way, however more difficult if family members are active still. My wife and kids are still active and I haven't had any yearning for the Christmas crap etc. I think it is too commercailised anyway. (Many of you cringe)

  Now I'm thinking is this reasoning because of years of conditioning as a JW or would I have been like this anyway. Well I will never know, will I. I've been inactive 3 yrs but still have occasional association with those close to my family and relatives.

  I think a christmas tree might give away too much to my family if you know what I mean.

  i thought it might be interesting to see how much of the worldly wisdom we have aquired .there are alot of quaint sayings that go way back in time here are some of my favorites to give an example - an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure , a bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush ,what's good for the goose is good for the gander .feel free to add your favs .

  i just wanted to let my friends here know , i have reactivated my cell phone and i am ready to talk baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  i have unlimted nites and weekends, free phone time, starting at 8pm central time, my time.

  if ya give me your number i can call you right back , and that way it wont cost you anything.

  Don't panic, I don't expect no calls to New Zealand. It just you sound friendly and your post doesn't seem flat out yet

  This is my first post here, I have been looking for a while though and finally made the leap in. I have'nt been an active witness now for 'bout 3 years now, problem is I feel more like an enigma now, don't seem to fit anywhere, if you get my drift. Family are still active etc. so its not an easy path or any easy way out as some try to put it.

  We're into our summer down here at the moment and its a craker day at the moment.

  So you won't get much more of a southern drawl than from down here.
