  LANDMARK DECISION - Vicki Boer vs Watchtower Society

  as most are aware, vicki boer has been long awaiting a decision to be handed down in a case she started against the society in canada.. the decision was handed down today.

  as with any 55 page decision, it will take some time for the legal experts to hash it over and decipher what was said.

  but, in a nutshell..... vicki won.

  Soldier Accused of torturing Iraqi Prisoner

  so all those that love to jump on all news anti-american, it would be best to stop reading now.

  this was a british soldier who not only (allegedly) tortured this iraqi but took pictures of it too.

  JW DECREASE in Canada

  statistics canada just released the results of their 2001 census.. .

  in the 10 years from 1991 to 2001 the jw's had a 8.1% decrease .

  1991 - 168,375 (km reports approx 110,000 active pubs).

  Canada's Non-Involvment in Iraq War - Why?

  although there has been some comment in the international press about the government of canada's decision to not provide direct assistance, very little has been said about why they made this decision.

  so why would risk potential economic downturn and alienation by refusing to participate in the war?

  Saddam has key to Detroit & "Maxim"-ize the troops

  these stories qualify as the "strange but true" articles of the day.... i am not posting this to fan flames but found the two stories interesting and both raised an eyebrow but in different ways.... a gift worth a foot in the mouth .

  this is one gift the city of detroit may never be able to live down.

  back in 1980, when times were much different than they are now and the u.s. was on a completely different footing with a certain despotic middle eastern leader, saddam hussein was given the key to the motor city.

  I need a WT article

  yet again i am asking for your help.. i am working on a project and am trying to pull together all the information the society has published regarding how they are organized.. back in the late 70's for example they had published an org chart showing all the various committees of the governing body (writing publishing etc).

  i would appreciate someone posting that article here or emailing it to me directly at [email protected] (remove the nospam).

  i would also appreciate receiving any other articles or commentaries you may have regarding bethel procedures policies and structure.

  Help Please - New Borganizational Structure

  does anyone have an idea of how the new borg is structured?

  what the various names are and what they are responsible for?.

  are things like the publishing committee and teaching committee done away with now?.
