  3rdgen I was a single mother totally immersed in the cult,believed in all the true Christian family crap and in my heart I wanted a family life for my daughter that would be beneficial for our worship of god. It also involved the fact that I had sexual experience and that that these needs could be fulfilled by marriage. How deluded I was he the spiritual brother who was really emotionally immature.

  In hindsight I probabley expected to much to much from him.

  Macy I wasn't criticizing the LGBT community I actually support the rights of all individuals. I am sorry if it read that way.

  Jeff T I wasn't commenting on her political opinions it was more about they way she reacted when the other woman tried to have a discussion about it with her. She was obviously uncomfortable when confronted with another world view then her own.

  My question was: Has any one else had experiences that involve those who haven't been in a cult yet are clearly having a moment of cog dis?

  No! I married because I thought that was I needed in order to complete the process of being dedicated to Jehovah! He was nothing like me!

  Thank god it was a very brief marriage!

  I have just finished watching the latest episode of I am Cait! Lol yes i watch it!!! They were discussing politics. Caitlyn was so forceful with her Republican ideals many of the woman left the room. Later in the episode the women admitted to being frightened by they way she didn't hear their thoughts! It was the perfect example of cognitive dissonance!

  It is 5am and I still can't sleep. Contemplating life, doing research on religion, world history, science...

  my husband is still asleep but he will get up in about an hour for work so i'm going to quickly tell you my inconclusive conclusion.

  i don't know if i can believe in god anymore.

  i have come to the simple conclusion that he is either dead or evil but he is definitely not loving.

  We leave it up the jehovah! A way way out. Dealing with this cult and its adherants is like banging your head on a brick wall! I have been a return visit for a young elder for a few months. I kept my mouth shut for two visits and finally I opened my mouth ,they knew mutual friends (that a no longer my friends due to the ugly disfelloshipping policy)

  I have been out for close to 20 years.

  I guess I was kinda a same story lack of Christian love blah blah! The response was when I mentioned I am looking forward to an eternal dirt nap as opposed to their unrealistic life on earth forever....the elder who I almost thought was credible said I am looking forward to all the things I am going to do in the new system!!!

  Haha! Elders are brainwashed just as the stupid Guardian's of the doctrine are!

  I understand sometimes we are focussed on Jdubs and do not put other religions as a priority on our list. We need to keep in mind any publicity is good ...
