what to believe now?
by christopherceo inthis is my first time posting here or on any ex-jw forum but i want to know if anybody else is not sure what to believe anymore.
paradise on earth sounds great and it was drilled into me for 11 years, it's just kinda hard to shake.
what about armageddon?

well chris its up to you to think for your self .i like to think jesus died for everyone , i never read the bible said you have to be jw to be saved and the bible talks about false propets,who has been more wrong then them considering they have direct line to god.i believe god gave everyone their own mind and the bible for guidence.allmost all religions are man made and made from greed or power or both.organized religion? no thanks i have a brain i can think for myself and make my own mistakes and fix them my self.why do jws realy care about the rest of us ?why is the watchtower so weathly and give to no charities.why cant they just say we want you to be a good person no instead they say do what we say and youll live in paradise,why do they have to dangle a carrot for people to listen? well chris its up to you if you feel something is wrong it probably is.my husband is a jw and it is hell when your on the out side and know better . if your not sure research ,research i did. jws say they want to save us well im afraid for them. just my 2 cents

Hey Gang I am getting my brain scanned tomorrow
by wildfire inyup thats right iam going to have an mri on my brain...... i have severe numbness on my left side of my face and no feeing in my hands and arm......i have been hurt in 3 car accidents and have two herniated disks in my neck ( oh i pray that they don't have to do surgery......pray for me )))))) i thought i had ms.... a while back because of the numbness but they said no...... well now i get another scan andgo to see a neurologist ,,,, i hope they find out what the problem is so i wont be on

I am a Former Addict
by Robdar ini quit smoking 3 days ago.
it was not as difficult as i thought it was going to be.
i have tried to break the habit before but always gave up, thinking that i was hopelessly addicted.

I to have quit smoking only three months ago .Iwent on zyban and trained myself to not pickup a cig. for at least two hrs. between each cig during each day,if craving got to bad i would chew a piece of nicorette gum.Each week i would extend from two hrs. to three then four etc.till i could go all day with out a cig. if things got real bad id chew my nic. gum.Now nothing after 33yrs. of cigs. and quiting many times this time i feel the strongest but will always consider myself an addict no matter how long , one cig id be back.No matter what nic. trys to tell you remember its a lie, even one will temp you to two. Keep it up , we[ will ] make it.

why witnesses dont call god by his real name ,yahweh, if their the only ones talking to god you would think they would.so i went on the internet and did some looking and found the name jehovah was interpeted by a spanish munk in 12 century.he was to study and reveal meaning of bible.then i read jews did not even use the letter j in those times,i told my husb this and he blew up saying jesus is not hes real name either.so my question is---who interpited jesus name ?if jews did not use the letter j and god is realy yahweh what is jesus real name?

Hi everyone,just had to say thanks for letting me explode, it has been in me for years with no were for it to go.I feel there are people who realy understand and care.If i hurt any ones feelings or said something wrong ,please be assured it was not intentional.From having no one to talk to then having so many from every were is over welming.With you guys i will be just fine. If any one can think of any hints to drop on my husband to get him thinking about jws lies , let me know. kls thankyou

Wow i cant believe the response , i feel i am not alone for the first time. Iwill try to answ. some ques. yes still married to him , hes been a jw for 27yrs. there is so much i want to ask, if you dont mind , when your living with a jw is it that person talking to you or what they put in their head and aresupposed to say? and if a jw is the only one that is going to make it in the new system and will have no memory of us why are they with us now? are they using us till then?and my husb. says he loves me then why does he want to live without me?I didnt mean to lay it on so thick but as you see i have no one to talk to.As far as ques. is my depr. from jws. maybe not cause of child hood but he knows what it was like and saw some of it .We have been together since i was 16.didnt need anti. depr. meds . till yrs into him being jw. Ican tell some of you have had it lots worse then me .Thankyou for listening and letting me winne.Iam the slowest typer and just this took half hr. so if you see me on line in the chat room it will take longgggggggggggggtime for me to answ. thanks kls
