  How do the elders deal with a very poor brother or sister?

  lets say a brother or sister loses their job, falls on welfare, doesn't have enough to eat.

  what do the elders do?

  a) tell them that the organization is not a place to beg but to preach, to give and not to receive.

  So, the JW's dump their responsibility of helping their own members on the government, the same governments that they accuse day and night.

  Not meaning to get off the subject but yes the jws use the goverment ,even though they don't believe in it but when they need it they use it.

  I think alot of jw parents don't want to have their children die from having no blood transfusion, but they know the docs and the courts will do it for them, and the jws will have a clear conscience relying on the courts .

  yes this orangefatcat has changed to another spiritual path.

  i was raised in the anglican church as a child i attended regualary with my beloved grandma.

  she passed away in 1992, and when i left the organization in 1999 i had thoughts of perhaps going back to that way of faith.

  I see JH that after all these years of me being out that nothing has changed but why would it . You know how the jws think,The more you suffer the more Jah loves you. They truly do seem to feel that the harder your life is just means you are in Jahs favor.

  They feed them watchtowers and give them Jahs blessings. There was a time that we were living on about 100.00 dollars a month and never did they ever offer any financial support but made we had our brainwashing material.

  the thread about got me thinking about my very early childhood, back when witnesses were allowed to be social and have get togethers.

  they also had a piano in every congregation i ever attended, and an older sister would always play the kingdom melody.

  there was actual singing - not mindless droning and humming.

  my sister just called me........ my aunt is in town - so my sister, my aunt(queen b&tch) and my grandmother would like to see me for lunch.. well this is odd, i only get invited when some dies or get married.

  i am a totally different person around my mothers side of the family.

  I began to say to Cheri" If I was worried about this "new system" I wouldn't be doing what you are doing". Nothing could be said. It was very quiet and the subject changed to the children....

  i got a look at this email received by someone i know very well (namely, me must be extended based on the sole proof of the ebabbar cylinder 2:14 (which i can't seem to locate for independent research, so help along those lines would be appreciated).. i will post the email and then examine the argument for accuracy/validity.
