Yes this Orangefatcat has changed to another spiritual path.
I was raised in the Anglican Church as a child I attended regualary with my beloved Grandma.
She passed away in 1992, and when I left the organization in 1999 I had thoughts of perhaps going back to that way of faith. But instead I started studying Druidism and Neo-paganism. But I was not feeling fulfulled spiritually. I still was trying to find a new path. I prayed on the matter much and often felt that God was calling me and I couldn't get that out of my head, It was always on my mind day and night. I was speaking ing to one of my neighbours, she told me she was starting to attend the Anglican Church after being a Baptist for 10 years.
I all of a sudden felt an overwhelming urge to go to the church. So that day when my friend mentioned her new adventure, I went straight over to the church. It is just below our apartment building.
I ventured over with my trusty scooter to the church and went in to speak to the pastor, I haven't stopped going ever since. WE hit it right at the outset of my meeting her and other asst. pastor Also some interesting news to share, this September on the 24th I am going to be baptized and confirmed. I am excited and delighted with my new found strength and faith. I have been very happy and the parish is small and very nice.
Our church was built in 1834 and rebuilt again in 1884, (the same yr the WTBS was incoperated).
There is a great support system and noone passes judgement on you. On Monday's of each week the pastors and myself get together to discuss the scriptures. They are impressed with my knowledge of the Bible, I didn't tell the I was a JW for 37 years as I felt it wasn't any thing positive to include.
I have enjoyed now more then ever the word of God and the way of feeling safe and secure with joy in my heart. I am so content now and I know that this is my future way of life.
I know alot of you no longer are involved in any other faith or spiriual path, but I just wanted to share my new joy.
