Considering there is no evidence that Super Magic Hippy Jesus as described in Yahweh's Big Book of Fairy Tales (aka The Bible) ever existed shouldn't the scholars have found 100% of the sayings Jesus is purported to have said are, in fact, NOT historically accurate?

Britain | Jehovah's Witnesses hushed up child sex scandal | July 16, 2013
by jwleaks inchurch officials hushed up a child sex scandal in their ranks and refused to co-operate with police.. .
jehovah witness ministerial servant gordon leighton admitted sexually abusing a child when he was confronted by his church elders, a court heard.. but during the official police investigation, the 53-year-old who made headlines in the 1990s when wife yvonne, 28, died after refusing a blood transfusion after childbirth on religious grounds denied any illegal wrongdoing.. and when detectives asked elders simon preyser, harry logan and david scott to make statements about the confession, all three refused and said what they had heard was confidential.. for three years, the elders refused to co-operate with the criminal investigation and kept up that stance when the case was brought before newcastle crown court after the victim made a complaint to police.. each was issued with a witness summons which they fought to overturn before being ordered to testify by judge penny moreland citing public interest.. their barrister richard daniels said the men had a duty to god not to breach confidence.. he added: privileged communication between members of the congregation and ministers is an absolute right and duty and there is no power in law to breach such a confidence.. judge moreland said: it is apparent that the three elders who were present when this conversation took place are in possession of relevant evidence as to a point which is of real significance in this case.. they claim the right of confidentiality, they claim that what they heard said by the defendant during the course of that meeting ought to be subject to privilege, as ministers of religion.. judge moreland refused to withdraw the summonses and said: public interest is clearly in favour of this evidence being given.. what was said by the defendant on that occasion is of great significance in the trial.. despite the judges ruling, the men still refused to make statements to police until just hours before they were called before the jury.. leighton, who has since been expelled from the church at lambton kingdom hall in washington, denied two charges of indecency with a child and seven of indecent assault.. he was yesterday found guilty of two charges of indecency with a child and six of indecent assault.
he was found not guilty of one indecent assault charge, on the direction of the judge.. he was remanded in custody until he is sentenced next month but warned he is facing a lengthy spell behind bars.. prosecutor katherine dunn told the court the victim, who is now an adult, broke her silence in 2009.. the court heard how at a special church meeting, leighton admitted sexual abuse and made excuses for his behaviour.. miss dunn said: the elders conducted their own investigation.

Prime said - Apostates salivate over anything scandalous and will exploit, exaggerate and even tell outright lies about the Witnesses. It would take all of about five seconds to prove that. Now, you are accusing me of being a pedophile because I'm relaying the facts as stated in court cases, this and other articles.
And the winner of stupidest post of 2013 on JWnet goes to...

My 8 year old daughter tells me she is an atheist...???
by sosoconfused inso since we have not been to a meeting in 6 months or so, i decided to ask my daughter (on the way home from cheerleading practice - yeah i can't believe i am letting her engage in such a worldly activity lol) if she misses going to the kingdom hall.
she says sometimes because she can't see her friend - but she has made new friends so it doesn't bother her too much.
so i ask her, "well, what about learning about jehovah?

@ ABibleStudent - Although I believe in God now, when I was younger I considered myself an agnostic. As long as your child critically thinks for herself, is moral, and respects/loves other people, then you have done a good job as a parent.
But unfortunately she'll still probably burn forever in hell LOL
Seriously though, if you carry on encouraging her critical thinking she'll turn out just fine. So what if she grows up to be an atheist?
I work with kids aged 0 to 5 and I really struggle with having to talk to the kids about Jesus, Allah, God whatever as it makes me sad that their parents are filling there heads with such irrational illogical nonesense at an age where they are not able to properly cope with it yet I'm not allowed to say anything that might offend their (by which I mean their parents) beliefs.

Bible printing, a loss of money for the WTS
by oppostate inso i brought this up in another thread... but i think it needs its own discussion.. having had one of the new grey leatherette and silver edged bibles with the new appendixes in my hand.
i immediately thought of all the custom covered nwt bibles you see some publishers sporting at meetings.
also the fact that the co's and wives who'd been given one had to turn it back in seemed very off-putting.. .

I got a new bible just a few months ago, Its a Holman Christian Standard Bible, study edition. Ten times any bible the ORG has published.
Still doesn't change the fact that the Bible's no more than an arbitrarily compiled collection of unattributed ancient mystical writings that was put together decades, in some cases hundreds and thousands of years, after the events described therein supposedly happened that's inspired by a long silent sky god.
I don't understand how anyone who's been in "the Truth" can still have any time for such nonesense.

Dropping itty bitty bits of Truth About The Truth to other Witnesses!
by OneDayillBeFree inthis'll probably get me disfellowshipped eventually but it's been hella fun!.
so lately every time an opportunity arrises while speaking to other jdubs at the meetings or assemblies or even just overhearing their conversations about new light or new publications, service, anything really i drop little things that pass unoticed by most but make some stop and think for a minute.. for example, after one sunday meeting, a brother came up to me with about 5 other jdubbies to poke fun at me saying, "i thought you said you never sat at the front?!
huh?

"No, no, no I was. I was just there Invisibly. Just like Jesus has been since 1914!"
Brilliant, best laugh I've had all day. Keep 'em comin'.

Apperntly they've writen to all congregations to inform them of this "great" news. However said letter fails to actually mention the ammount of money they've made.
Can't imagine why? After all are you going to donate any of your hard earned window cleaning money to the society knowing they've just made $375million selling properties bought with your donations and maintained by volunteers, not to mention the $300million+ they've made sinse 2004 selling other properties they own.
