How Far Up The "Ranks" Did You Go In The Organization?

at 20, a ministerial servant.
at 24 an elder.

I was an auxiliary pioeneer first, then a regular pioneer for two years, then at Bethel for one year, then MS for 6 weeks and then out!

It would appear to me that the WTS is preparing the "flock" for some important doctrinal change that may get the chat boards such as this one buzzing. The references to 'refining our understanding' since it is not "perfect" make me think something will be revealed shortly. Also possible that they are just referring to past doctrinal changes but I am not so sure.

I am sure that his "time" spent giving concerts is recorded also as he is preaching the "message" in nearly every song now. All he has to do to pioneer is go on a world tour!

Have you or have you known someone disfellowshipped more than once??
by anakinsrise ini cam close to being disfellowshipped once,i was a servant so they only took awy all of my duties,and priv's.but i know a sister even dated her for 10 months who has been disfellowshipped 3 times.it was kind of funny because her 2 fleshly sisters got disfellow'ed around the same time and they all didnt seem to care and went to jamaica for 3 weeks.1 of them even came back pregnant.

Yes, one of my best friends as a witness, who as a married elder began an affair with a sixteen year-old non-baptized girl. He was disfellowshipped the first time for kissing her in parked cars late at night. Then he was reinstated eight months later, at which point he told me he would be an elder again in a "few years." Well he went back to the girl and was disfellowshipped again just four months after reinstatement. He left his wife, married the girl and several years later was made a ministerial servant and she a pioneer. They are now a highly respected "Christian" family of four. I would not be surprised if he was again an elder today.

Why the WTS is selling their assets
by Amazing inthe recent post by randy watters is very good regarding the watchtower selling assets.
some posters suggested that maybe they were doing this because the clean-up of asbestos is too expensive, making a sale more rational.. .
in the usa, any building containing asbestos insulation must be dealt with by the seller of a property.

I fully believe that the WTBS is selling off its Brooklyn assets in particular as they may be preparing for a time when these properties will no longer be exempt from taxation. Our local paper here in the Hudson Valley has run numerous articles about religious groups that own large swaths of land tax-free, including, but not limited to, the JW. If and when the buildings that house printing and shipping facilities are taxed, those levys will be much easier to deal with in upstate NY than in Brooklyn. In addition, those buildings, like 360 Furman, will fetch a ton. Look for the WTBS to have nothing but 124 Columbia Heights, if that, within five years.

Yeah I was thrown out at the age of 18...what did I do wrong? I was a regular pioneer and assisted the book servant while working fulltime at a regular job. My stepmother didn't like me and my father couldn't keep her in line (they are still both JW)...so he suggested best thing for me to do was leave...so I went to live in the basement of a loacl brother and sister's house and then eventually the basement of the Kingdom Hall...but thank God for what they did...they did indeed help me see the 'truth' "...by their fruits you shall know them..."
