  Confession Time - Music You're Embarrassed to Admit Listening To

  admit it, we all have things that we reel off when people ask what our favourite music is, just the same as if people ask what our favourite movies are.

  we're meant to say "citizen kane" and "casablanca" and not "battleship" or "pacific rim" but we know what we're going to watch if they are ever on tv at the same time (and which ones we've never actually seen).. so how about some confession time?

  what do you listen to when no one else is in the house?.

  (I missed the 60's since I was a jw teenager at the time.

  You only have a few years on me (I was a JW teen in the 70's) and yes, I did take my wife to see her "idol" (ooopps, can't use that word in the Borg) Bon Jovi for our anniversary a couple of years ago.

  Even then, it was like 250 each for really good seats. I hear that the Stones are getting double that on their tour (or a lot more for the best seats).

  Where have the 70's gone?

  (BTW, Pink's remake of Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit is, IMO, better than what Grace originally did. I've listened to the live version on YouTube a hundred times .... "Go ask Alice, I think she'll know .... ").

  Blondie ...

  I definitely agree. Elton was one of the first concerts I ever saw back in the day (Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Tour). Seen him at least 3 other times also.

  I wanted to see him on his farewell tour but I really hate to take out a second mortgage and then have to sit in the nose bleed section.

  I was switching between stations and heard a Barry Manilow song for a few seconds.

  I'm embarrassed that I didn't pick up the radio and throw it through the window.

  What is wrong with Hollyweird?

  so, the trailer for the new batwoman series was released a few days ago.. proof positive that hollywood, cw network and other movie/tv producers live in their own bubble and are continuing to push their sjw agenda.. the trailer itself has unbelievable levels of cringe at times.. batwoman happens to be a woman (if you hadn't already guessed) and an out and proud lesbian.

  of course, there's nothing wrong with any of this, it just feels so forced.

  within a few seconds of the trailer you get some girl-on girl action, just to hammer home the sexuality thing.

  it has been mentioned before but since we have been discussing environmental issues on another thread, i thought it might be timely to discuss rev 11:18 which has recently become a popular text for those christians concerned about environmental threats of pollution and climate change.

  is this passage being interpreted correctly?

  did the writer somehow anticipate the modern environmental situation, or did he intend something more in keeping with the bible's general concerns of morality and sin?.

  From what I have heard, the 1000 volunteers are there for filming episodes of the soon to be released mini-series on the JW channel called the Great Crowd.

  Most will be extras. When they need shots of large numbers of people, they already have them in-house and won't have to pay for extras.

  Some will be dressed as lions and lambs and they will be taught to dance the Macarena.

  It will truly be a blessing.

  I really do feel better about the Joel chapter 2 news.

  I can now sleep better at night.

  I just hope before I die someday, that the King of North/South gets straightened out, the resurrection of people in Sodom and Gomorrah gets resolved and whether CT Russell was part of the governing body.
