  a new fox poll says biden is up by 12 percentage points.

  of course, most other polls say trump will be trounced this time around.. do you think the polls might be right this time?

  That's a good point. I guess it's just the mood you are in. Different people get their pleasures different ways.

  Some people like the approach of Easy Listening music (Biden), getting a massage and offering you warm face towels. Others prefer a guy (Trump) wearing a leather thong with a whip and studded collar calling you a son-of-a-bitch.

  Different people get their jollies different ways. To each his own.

  the latest news release on jwdotorg concludes with the sentence: "more information will be provided on jw news as we confirm the details of this ongoing situation.".

  i just thought it was funny them using the capitalized phrase "jw news" now.

  imagine jwn, the ultimate fake news network 😅.

  don't quote any scriptures during the watchtower study that are not in the paragraph.. don't quote the governing body or anything from the broadcast ever.

  it might be true but it is not true truth if it is coming out of your mouth if you have been critical of the governing body.

  especially so if your criticism is valid and you have dared to support you view with scriptures, most especially the words of jesus christ.. anyone know of other new tactics?.

  I'm not sure if this is really "new" or not, even if totally true.

  They have things extremely regulated these days. Years ago, the Watchtower conductor had a great deal of flexibility in how to control the meeting. Now, they are told exactly what scriptures to read. In general, they can't "wing it" anymore. The powers that be want everything driven from the top down. I think it is more of a control thing than an apostate thing. When they say "Jump", they want you to answer "How high?", not ask "Why?"

  I Got Messed Up on My Medications ... I Knew I Had to Watch the Assembly On-Line This Weekend

  what a weekend.

  i have my normal medications to take; one white pill, one purple pill, one blue pill, one yellow pill ... you get the idea.. but having to watch the regional assembly on-line had me stressed.

  i now realized i accidentally took too many of those big purple pills.

  Reminds me of the joke in a Woody Allen movie (I forget which one) in which a guy goes to a psychiatrist and tells him that his brother needs help, he thinks he's a chicken.

  The psychiatrist asks him why he didn't bring his brother with him so he could be helped. The guy says I would have, but I need the eggs.

  You are to be commended. Did they notice you reading the newspaper?

  I think I did everything well. The camera was not pointed on anything below my chest. I also did the entire New York Times crossword puzzle while smiling and periodically nodding in agreement to something.

  I did. But having a jacket, shirt, tie and ID badge on felt a bit strange without any pants. I did take off the jacket when they did the announcements. I was able to take it off without standing up.

  when we were jws , we had to be so careful that we didn’t stumble anyone.

  Anointed Grandmother wakes up

  anointed great grandmother who woke upi arrived at the coffee shop on my bicycle and took up a seat at the outdoor table in the fresh air.

  (this was way before the pandemic).. a lady with permed white hair walked over to my table and spoke directly to me.. i was wearing earbuds at that moment and didn’t hear.

  i popped them out and asked her to repeat herself.. “that’s a beautiful bicycle you have there.

  I'm waiting for the sequel.

  If I may guess, two older Eastern Europeans wearing dark suits will be subversively exchanging briefcases at the airport after exchanging code words. The first one says "All birds fly high". The second one responds "But only when the sky is blue". Then the briefcases are exchanged.

  Just my thoughts on some material to get started for the next post.
