Batshit crazy goes nowhere near describing this lot ?
@smiddy3
I am "in" but am smart enough to know that yes, we are batshit crazy. And when talking to some, it's as if we all know it.
just a quesiton: can disfellowshipped individuals attend the video meetings.
if they can, do they have to turn off their video and sound?
can they attend with their family?

the sopranos was my number one show.
to me it was the best series ever.
for a good laugh, i still enjoy the beverly hillbillies reruns.
Let me add Benny Hill to my list. And Lost in Space.
My problem with Batman, was that it was on in our area two nights a week, Wed and Thur.
I saw the first part of the show, Wed., but we had our meeting on Thur. and unless I was sick or it was Circuit Assembly week, I never saw how Batman and Robin got out of the life-threatening situation they were in.

I also liked: (I'm showing my age when I was a kid) .....
3 Stooges (with Curly)
Ed Sullivan (we have a really, really, really big shoooooe (show) for you tonight)
Jackie Gleason (again, as a little kid with no option to change the channel)
The Lone Ranger (reruns)
I Love Lucy
Green Acres
Beverly Hillbillies
The Munsters

Man From Uncle
Night Gallery
Batman
Sea Hunt (reruns)
Outer Limits (original series)
All in the Family
Mash
Cheers
Seinfeld
Beevis and Butthead (ahhhhhhhhh ... yea .... he he ... he he ... he he he!)
(Now you may further understand why I am all mentally twisted)
from washington state to new york city to atlanta and california and so on, you see thousands of demonstrators trying to get rid of police, statues, monuments and anything they consider racially biased.. do you think this type of activity and destruction is working well for the country and it’s law abiding citizens?
?.
I just don't know why all of this stuff is occurring at the same time. Election year, anti-Trump, pollution, people out of work, no sports, anxiety, churches are closed, wearing masks, gyms closed, social distancing, etc. What is the underlying problem?
I can't believe it is just the Gerald Ford killing thing that occurred in one city is causing such a national problem.
It just seems weird to me that killing the one guy seems to possibly have caused a national problem. And then we have the historic monuments being pulled down.
Do people just all of a sudden have extra time and need something to do?
there's yet another talk to add to the list of talks written specifically for damage control against "apostates".
the speaker says, "some who were once part of the christian congregation attempt to mislead us", that they tell "false accusations" & "lies".
to combat this, he says that you should "protect your ears from damaging noise by not listening to it", comparing it to wearing "noise canceling headphones".
The only thing I miss are the danishes and burritos, and the orange juice for some reason. Not sure what was in that stuff, crack?? Damn it was good..
@DATA-DOG ...
I know what you mean. I can still taste the hoagies (subs, heros, whatever you wish to call them) at Yankee Stadium in New York. Cheap bologna, salami, ham, whatever mystery meat. But it still tasted so good with those cheap Shasta colas.
with the virus thing going on, there's more tv time here in the rub a dub household.. watching jaws for the 20th time still is fun.
then all the killer stingray, whales and other sea creatures is interesting.. we watched moby's dick last night.
it's an old classic like jaws.

We watched Moby's Dick last night. It's an old classic like Jaws. I think it starred Jenna Jameson and Harry Reems or whoever.
I always liked the classic sentence when Captain Ahab (Reems) yells out, "thar she blows."
A classic movie at its finest.

Yes, it is a local elder decision for DF/DA attendees. I'm sure there would be no problem if they were already attending meetings prior to the virus thing. They just have to be quiet and log off immediately after the meeting.
As slimboyfat mentioned, they would want to see you and likely how you are dressed.
But if you wanted to get invited again, you shouldn't be wearing a Metallica t-shirt.
fear of being shunned.
do you have any stories?.
Reminds me of the old National Lampoon ads to subscribe to the magazine.

@SadElder ...
It is very sad how demonstrations have become, in some ways, mob riots. Destroying the historic monuments and statues certainly do not, IMO, provide any kind of a positive message to others.
I know a lot of this got fueled by the killing of Gerald Ford but people need to refocus their frustrations and anger.
