  of course, most other polls say trump will be trounced this time around.. do you think the polls might be right this time?

  The polls you are seeing invariably poll the general populace or registered voters instead of likely voters which leads to inaccuracy

  Yes, they tend to poll more democrats in general. Democrats are more likely to say they are supporters of Biden than Republicans who say they support Trump.

  They keep reporting that there are "hidden" Trump supporters that do not respond to polls.

  But I can totally understand that. It is like getting a phone call from a pollster and telling them you are proud of having syphilis. And then you are asked if you "somewhat" support getting syphilis again or "definitely" support it.

  In this environment I try to stay safe.

  Yesterday, I went to my favorite take-out restaurant owned by a very nice black family and just ordered fried chicken with cole slaw and collard greens on the side.

  I had no problem at all.

  JW (and other religions) excuses for messing up when trying to understand prophesies.

  this is not a jw-bashing thing, but it always seemed odd to me that the "excuse" when things go wrong is that "we have to wait and see how the prophesy is fulfilled" or some other wording.. my question has always been, then what is the purpose of the prophesy if you don't understand it until after the fact?

  isn't that like having a weather forecast but being told that we don't really know what the weather will be until the next day?

  isn't that the purpose of prophesy?.

  Yes, that was what I heard on the JW Broadcasting channel. He was very emphatic. And he had a very sincere look on his face as he was speaking.

  If we were at a Regional or International Convention and he raised his voice at the end of the quote, "so shut the hell up and keep preaching" I am still programmed to stand up and clap.

  there is a surge going on of people buying guns, especially first time buyers.

  with talk of police defunding and rioting in the neighborhoods, some people want to protect themselves.. do you support owning and using a gun if needed?.

  Yes, yes, yes yes, yes.

  I own several firearms (more than what I wish to tell you).

  But they should be registered, fingerprinted and owner responsible if they are used illegally.

  Not a whole lot different than getting a drivers license. Go through the steps. Take the class. Do whatever.

  If someone breaks into my house, there will be a .357 Magnum pointed at their head.

  On the other hand, owning a gun should be like having a college degree ...... you should earn it. Second Amendment and all other things considered, the ability to purchase a firearm should not be just like fogging a mirror if someone puts it under your nose,

  "What is the point of a prophecy if you can't understand it until it's fulfilled? Anybody can point to some event afterwards and say, "See! I knew it! I told you so!

  Exactly my point. If you don't understand it until after it happens, what was the point? Why bother with the mental gymnastics? Give the weather forecast a week later and say, well, we got it right!

  But when you want to be a bastard, call people names, be a narcissist and base all of your presidency on the economy, and then it collapses, well, then you have to live with the results, no matter how it happened.
