i just got off the phone with my mom; i love her now more than i did as a kid.
i have over the years briefly brought up my "doubts" about the teaching and she quickly dismissed what i was saying and said it was not for her to hear and that she believed in jehovah to set all things right.
so since i have made a point to "pacify" her talks when it came to the jws, recently as some of you know i found this site and in addition to what i learned my understanding of the jws and their secrets are even better known.
kproscts, I am so very sorry.

a couple of days ago, whilst getting ready for a late shift at work.....knock knock on my door.
i opened to find 2 suited and booted blokes about my age standing there.
before i could say further than hello, the taller one said "now i know what you must be thinking, you think dressed like this we're jehovah's witnesses out to give you a magazine, but you needn't worry, infact we're here to share with you the true gospel of christ"............ actually i said, i didn't think you were, however i'm jw (ok not strictly true as inactive), and i didn't think you were the windowcleaner either.
Well, not with Mormons, with some guy peddling "wordly" magazines. He said, rather rudely, "Don't worry, I'm not a (notice the term which follows) Jehovah Witness."
I said, "I am".
He was, quite literally, stunned speechless. I guess he never expected to encounter one on the opposite side of the door.
I didn't buy any magazines. But I didn't place any either.

one of my witness family members agreed to take a look at crisis of conscience, and after.
perusing the first couple of chapters, said that she thought it could be all made up.
agreed that the documents presented could be legitimate, but as far as franz's personal.
The dubs are a human organization. That's what the book claims and proves
Yes, it most certainly does. To a distressing (for me) degree.

.
this is one of the funniest sites in the universe...enjoy!.
.
Thanks, jgnat, while I am certainly more open on this list in many ways, on my own (which is not designed for openess, merely for discussing music), I am Jekyll and Hyde. Absolutely.
And if they don't like it, they can leave (and do!!).

as far as i can remember, the district convention was always the last week of june or first week of july in my region.
in either case it was always very hot out, and where we gathered for the convention it was always very hot there also.
this year would have been no exception since it was in the upper 80's and lower 90's since a few days here.. i can remember a couple of times when the temperature inside the olympic stadium in montreal was about 90f.
Sweateran's Stadium, Philadelphia
LOL:!!!! That is too funny! And I was there!
One newly baptized sister was chasing her kids around the place in the 100 degree heat, when she confided in me that the woman with whom she had studied told her, when she complained, that she should be grateful because Jehovah loved us so much that he was getting us ready for Armegeddon with all the suffering at the District Conventions.
I was appalled. I told her, "NOTHING is going to get us ready for Armgegeddon. And I guess Jehovah doesn't love the sisters at the X Convention. They are sitting in airconditioning right now."
hi all and thanks for being here and caring.
i have had a bad day today.
most of you have heard me rant and rave about my thirty years in the borg, not yet over.
Pistoff, I feel your pain. So sorry.
i am not a jw, i am 100% free to choose born and raised.
well let me get to my story, i have no problem with jw, my wife who i love with all my heart is though.
she was raised in it and didnt have much choice due to a dominating mother in the truth, and at 16 got baptized by pressure, we have 3 young children who attend meetings but i made it very clear that they will choose there own way, i dont worry because she is a believer but still has her own mind.
Not to demean your excellent observations, tron, but LMAO at hylandyr
LOL
.....and that's why i hate, dislike, can't stand, anyone that used to be an elder???
..........after reading so many "bad elder" stories, i can understand why some might feel that they were just one of the rank-and-file and were treated poorly vs. someone like an elder that could have authority and try to intimidate those that they felt they could push around.
Congratulations, Mini! I hadn't noticed you around here lately and was wondering how things were.
