To avoid virus problem, I put a requisition for a second computer exclusively for net-related work. Office gave me an old computer. I am posting from this computer as I have somewhat relaxed schedule. I don’t know who was using this computer before me in this company of over 3000 people!

A "cherished teaching", but based on what? At least JW try to base their doctrines on the Bible. The teaching of the trinity is even bigger fee-faw-fum. Accepting the trinity because the Church Fathers did so, is just plain stupid. And how is that teaching beneficial? Just because it can be interpolated into a statement about vices and virtues, doesn't make tha teaching beneficial.
I think this so-called CO is getting delusional.

i have been noticing in recent threads that people have been observing that the zeal has been waning among r+f jws.
i have observed that most zealous, die hards have gone to foreign lands, or foreign language congregations, leaving the others in the stagnant english congregations.
when you think of it, if you cared at all about bringing people into the cult, you probably would be preaching where it is fertile, the foreign field.
I loved the book study. But most of the time I felt I was the only one.

what might the wts do to counteract growth stagnation and attrition?.
of course they could ditch certain teachings and practices such as blood, shunning and homophobia.. how about if they closed the kingdom hall network (all proceeds back to mothership) and built out more regional mega-churches?

They should make a clear distinction between clear biblical teachings and personal convictions . If the Bible is not clear on a particular topic, it should be a matter of personal conscience. That would then also include teachings like 1914, preaching, the earthly/heavenly hope, etc (so, uhm... basically every teaching ). Don't force people to believe in things that aren't obvious.
for yourself and others.. do you think the wts can or should be destroyed, will continue on as-is or grow / change?.
