Why the drop since the 50's - 70's
by dozy inreading bestys experience about his parents coming into the truth in the 50s and another poster who looked at the huge drop in italian baptisms since the 70s http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/179985/1/italy-conventions-baptisms-stats prompts me to ask:.
why is there such a huge drop in jw converts in western lands since the 50s 70s?
obviously 1975 was a factor for the surge , but that only really was promoted after 1966.. i ask as the few individuals who have been baptized in recent years have either been immigrants or child born-ins.

Oh man,
There are so many problems with his 'Pangaea' configuration where to start. Let’s start by looking at his current position connected model [CPC] versus what is presented in geology [GEO]. We will not be looking at the time-line or time-scale problems at this time.
"Asia and the Americas connected via the Aleutian Chain"
1. From the stratigraphy, fossil record and paleo-climate traces the parts of Pangaea [GEO] that would become North America and Asia were connected on the opposite ends from where his model [CPC] would have them “reconnected”.
2. The Aleutian chain of islands is a volcanic island arch.
a. The forces involved in the flood destroyed this part of the old continent and caused underwater volcanoes to erupt lava with the appearance of terrestrial eruptions followed by erosion after the waters receded? [CPC]
b. The Bering Strait is a much shorter distance (geographically) between the two continents.
"Europe to Canada via Briton"
1. From the stratigraphy these were connected in the past as well as south America and Africa but there was no such thing as the Atlantic Ocean at that time.[GEO]
2. This configuration combined with Aleutian Chain land bridge would isolate the Arctic Ocean wich would stagnate over time.
3. Where did the material connecting the two continents finally end up?
"Australia to Asia via Indonesian Archipelago"
1. These islands are volcanic arch chains (see 2 in Aleutian Chain)
General problems with this theory that he has failed to realize.
First: With the continents in the Pangaea configuration (as taught in Geology) the interior of the super-continent was a hot dry desert, like the Sahara but much larger. This large desert covered areas that would later become Africa, and South America. (Not very conductive to a paradise where they theorize it should have been.) However, in the CPC (current position connected) model there would be no explanation for the identical desert environment deposits on two continents separated by an ocean.
Second: The model he presents of Pangaea [CPC] and a paradise earth pre-flood. Tropical fossils in Antarctica [buried by the flood] would not allow a climate for the current glacial features (formed by ice on the rest of the continents) before the flood. Large scale features from the ice sheets (great lakes, NY Finger Lakes) could not have happened soon after the flood as they would have been witnessed by inhabitants of the land. (What is that mile high sheet of ice doing here? Ignore it and it will go away soon.)
Third: The [CPC] model does not explain the earth’s magnetic pole reversals as recorded in the seafloor of the Atlantic Ocean nor the features created by plate tectonics e.g. island arch chains, mid ocean ridges etc.
Deductions
This guy has never bothered to look at a map representing the super-continent Pangaea and has pictured the continents connected together in their present positions. (No need for plate tectonics in his model, HA bye bye [GEO])
Geography is not one of the speaker’s strengths.
This is just a quick 30 minute stab at the model.

HooooooooooRay! Wifey has a job!!!!
by AK - Jeff in13 months later.
probably 1500 applications/resumes online and in person.. it is not a great job - flippin' burgers - and the distance is a bit more than we wanted for her to drive - but we are thankful!
they mentioned possible management in the interview - so perhaps it can grow over time.. anyway - it will help keep the wolves off the doors.

I believe many of these have already been copyrighted by WTWizard.

I am sure this is very true, however if we only use 10% or less then it can be under fair-use.

What do you do for canker sores?
by daniel-p inbecause mine is hurting like a mofo here... it's at the back of my cheek, where my lower and upper jaw connect, and i can't close my teeth without chomping on it because its swollen out.
my lymph glands under my neck hurt to the touch, the entire side of my head down to my shoulders hurt.. i've tried peroxide mouthwash, salt mouthwash, orajel (which help for about 30 seconds), and aspirin placed on it (which helps for about ten minutes).
today, at work, i put a bunch of salt directly on it which just stung like the dickens for about 10 minutes and now i'm back to square one with the ongoing pain.

Get some small chewable vitamin C tablets and let one dissolve on the sore using your saliva.
It will burn and sting like hell for a few, then go numb, it will also help the healing. One dose is all it should take to get on the mend.\
If it persists or causes other lymph nodes to swell then get to a doctor pronto.

Having attended to and watch my grandfather slowly die from a progressing stroke I would not wish that kind of pain and misery on anyone.
The people who suffer a stroke and survive for a month generally pull through, although there is a greater risk of another incident.
