Two more quitters!

in my city, there's been a husband and wife who quit this week.

hurray!.

the first thing that came to mind when i heard it was 'they didn't need my help'.. you see, many in my city who quit in the past were previously on my mailing list.

Interesting. I've had similar thoughts in the past. They went to another meeting this week. Looks like they are trying to get re-insaned-ed...

Ok. The two quitters showed up at the kringedome hall. Apparently sat through the 'apostobash' and undoubtedly endured 'the evil eye' staredown from the dubb klan. My question is, what the hell are they thinking?

In my city, there's been a husband and wife who quit this week. They went together. HURRAY!

The first thing that came to mind when I heard it was 'they didn't need my help'.

You see, many in my city who quit in the past were previously on my mailing list. I sent a package their way.

But not this couple.

Some who got stuff made it known they got some 'information' and still others kept a tight lip.

It's interesting to see how things work out.

I know some tell, because I've heard it from them personally and also from other elders and from the platform afterward.

I've literally heard wailing with many tears at the cringe-dom hall. Howling about the evil mail.

Most stay, but are 'affected'... Some quit.

One loser came back this week. Makes you wonder how baked they really are.

So, this week's count in my city is 2 out, 1 in. Net net, 1 out.

Drop the bomb!

i had a chance to drop a bomb on a 'bro' that i have known many years.

you should'a been there.. (this is the second time in less than 2 months i have dropped this particular bomb on a bro and in this manner).

before i tell the story, which you will enjoy, note that i have remained "in" the org for many years after finding out the ttatt.. 1) for the sake of family (limited time left).

Before I tell the story, which you will enjoy, note that I have remained "in" the org for many years after finding out the TTATT.

1) for the sake of family (limited time left)
2) because I have a unique opportunity to help various ones see the truth, the REAL TRUTH.

So far, I have aided quite a few (and I believe many wonder why these ones left). And I am still working on several and always looking to add to my collection. (so to speak)

So, a few nights ago I am at a JW gathering. I know pretty well everyone there by name. About 2 congo's worth. Good pickings.

Sitting with brother W.

Now, bro W had a good job many years back, underline good, and he quit it because -you guessed it- the "end was so close".

Bro W goes on to lament a bit saying he'd "never thought he'd be 62 in this system". You know, what with the end.... (He kind of dials it back a bit here)

I see my opp. "Oh yes, I said, I remember back then. In fact," I went on, "it was because of a Watchtower article on the subject of how close the end was that I got baptised"

I peaked his interest,

I continued... "I remember how I read that January 1 watchtower that said the preaching work would be done by 2000 and I got dunked right away"

Now he was really interested. His gaze was intent. He said nothing as he stared, waiting for what would come next.

I said "I remember one night when I was talking with (my wife) and she asked why I took so long to get baptised, what with being raised in and all...."

His stare deepened.

"So I related it all to her and how the watchtower said that the preaching work would be done before 2000, and she came back to me and asked about it."

"So I told her again, and then she said that the watchtower never said that"

He was transfixed.

"So, I insisted that I was not mistaken and I looked with her. I was frustrated to find that what I remembered was not to be found"

"Then I called my (relative) and asked if we still had the watchtowers that we actually studied back then, and hoarder (relative) said "YES!".."

Bro W actually had his mouth open by now. Nothing coming out though.

"So I went on over and got the actual watchtower that I studied that day back then, and opened it up, and there it was!"

Bro W is now somewhat perplexed. He asks "Why didn't you just go on-line? ...or use the CDrom?"

"OH.." I said "..that's not there, you need to have the ACTUAL ARTICLE to see that... it's different"

The blood drained from his face.

I am not making this stuff up.

At that point I dialed it back and made light, I could see he had just swallowed a large firecracker and it went boom in his gut.

I changed it up and wrapped up my end of the conversation.

Bro W was already weak, missing many meetings because of some 'event' not long back that stumbled him but good.

I will follow up with bro W and see where he gets to.

so this is the situation..........haven't been to meeting for the past 10 months....misssed dc as well as 2 day assemblies.. i have woken up to the fact that the watchtower is not god's organization so their is absolutely no way iam going.

to give the elders any of my time.

i have no desire to agree to a sherherding call!.

Why did you even answer the door? Really... If you had to go look, (because somebody important might be coming) then why even open the door?

Or just open the door and say "SHOVE OFF"... really....

I can't understand why you even gave them the time of day. In your situtaion, you are done with them all and have no family in, then just say, "Leave, don't come back, I'm done with you, and if you don't leave me alone, I will press charges for stalking."

At first, I was going to suggest you open the door and show them two moons. However, depending on what kind of JW pervert they might be, you might never be rid of them. They might return weekly hoping for more.

Can the jw organization be reformed?

i know that this has been discussed in the past but i wanted to get some fresh opinions.

there are many out there that recognize the "rot" that is in watchtower but still feel that there is a "wholesome" side to it and are trying to bring about change or reform from within.. in 2002 when the rose colored glasses came off for me and i truly started to understand ttatt, i still felt that there was some redemable aspects of the organization.. i felt that russell had some doctrinal things right.

i don't feel like that anymore.

Reform is possible. It's happening right now. The wt organization just up-ended it's whole organizational structure from 2001 till just now.

In 2001, the legal Governing Body of The Watchtower Incorporated (under the laws governing such within the United States of America) (the Board of Directors, the President, and Vice President) relinquished their legal positions within The Watchtower Incorporated , then going on to 'spiritualize' their authority as a new entity, the "Governing Body of Jehovah's Witness" (as if a people could have a 'govering body)

The newest move in their re-vamp or reformation, was a major change in authority structure, incorprating within themselves all authority under heaven and on Earth.

Along the way they made secret affiliations, altered their position on blood, both giving and taking, and have begun their war on the internet by advancing at every level, electronic media usage, even going as far as to suggest to members that they get a data plan on their mobile phone to use their internet site at peoples front door. Golly!

Reform everywhere. ...and the list goes on.

What exactly do you think about when you think of "reform"? I think people assume it means something other than perhaps what Webster's has to offer.

Full Definition of REFORM

transitive verb 1 a : to put or change into an improved form or condition b : to amend or improve by change of form or removal of faults or abuses 2 : to put an end to (an evil) by enforcing or introducing a better method or course of action 3 : to induce or cause to abandon evil ways <reform a drunkard> 4 a : to subject (hydrocarbons) to cracking b : to produce (as gasoline or gas) by cracking.

I think all goodie JW's would believe that (1a) is applicable. (1b) would be a stretch as the wt has 'no faults or abuses' to start with. And don't even go to (2) Ray Franz, in the beginning, thought of reform. That meaning that the 'open minded search for the absolute truth' would lead to teaching ... well, the truth, starting with the truth about 607 and the Gentile Times. (That's how the 1980 schism began after all) But in the end (and I spoke to him on the phone several times and exchanged letters) he was just seeking what we are all seeking just by our presence here. To expose the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth ...so help me God.

Does a murderer want the truth exposed? Does he want to go to prison? Do the governors of watchtower fairyland want the truth to come out, that they are imposters, murderers?

In the end, Ray Franz gave up on the idea of reform. Crisis of Conscience was about him and his journey through life within watchtower. But then he broadened out. He incuded in later editions of CofC an expose' of the UNited Nations affair. I personally sent him the UN letter from Paul Hoeffel to replace the faximile he first used.

Ray was not connected to this issue. The UN thing happened long after he left. Then why include it? Because "reform", or turning the watchtower into a truth seeking organization.... is not possible. The only thing that is possible is to expose it. And point the Roman spears and swords towards it.

That's my opinion. I think it's valid. I think I shared that opinion in common with Ray.
