i just want to pass a message along that if anyone watches cbc's "the fifth estate" on wednesday, january 22, 2003 (that's this wednesday night), they should see a promotion for the upcoming jehovah's witness child abuse show at 9:00pm, next wednesday, january 29, 2003.. the promotion should be aired at or near the end of the show - around 9:50 to 9:55 pm on january 22.

Recurring Dreams?

i have had recurring dreams .

and lately i have noticed a change.. i used to have nightmares that i was back in the kingdom hall .

but the fact that you went into the hall submissive ,and strolled out brave confident& triumphant with your back to the whole congregation along with well not keeping the uninportant appointment,as far as the elder was concerned, you were showing that you had had enough

Everyone - - - thanks for all your caring words. It has been almost four years since I left the jws - - - never to return! Seems like the dream means that I am experiencing an emotional disconnection - - - as well as physical distance - - - between me and that awful place where I was brainwashed since birth!

Are all women psychos?

im not sure if i was married to a psycho or not and am wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with their ex.

weve been divorced for 2-1/2 years and have had our ups and downs.

because shes a diehard jw and doesnt have grounds to get re-married i get an ear full from her blah...blah.. anyway, one minute shes like "its terrible that i have to wait for you to get married before i can" and then this past weekend she calls me to talk.

You guys have your "special" mood swings too, it's been proven, something like a 45 day cycle, I like to call UMS (ugly mood swing). When you act out during this time you are just being "a guy" when we act out during PMS we are being a "bitch". It's not fair!

The book "Men are from Mars" talks about the guys retreating into their "caves" when they are trying to figure stuff out, or are upset about something. If the lady happens to "disturb" them while they are in their "cave" --- well be prepared to have your head chewed off ladies, or be prepared for a breakup of the relationship --- that's what happened to me! Apparently, the guys wanna be alone to figure stuff out --- rather than ask someone (ooooooh!) or rather than actually communicate (oooooooh!) When they can't come up with an answer on their own --- rather than seek help --- they will break up! And it is their issue!! And breaking up the relationship is their solution!!

Face it guys, you do have your UMS days!!!! I've got the scars to prove it. . .

Interesting how the lady gets blamed in those situations. . .

There is a rat on this forum

i think someone on this forum is a rat....or troll as i think they are called.. i am sitting at home last night watching fear factor, and there was a knock at the door.. i opened it to find two elders from my old hall.

they did not seem very sincere when they apologized for disturbing me without notice.. they said the purpose of there visit was to just to check up on me, find out if my circumstances or opinions had changed.

we ended up in a huge conversation about my "inactivity", they wanted to know if there was anything keeping or holding me back from the truth, and wanted to know if there was anything i needed to get of my chest, cause guilt has away of keeping people back.

I'm sorry to hear about that creepy elder visit. . . kinda spooky. . . there are lotsa jws lurking, though, and maybe even someone who knows you personally. The lurkers usually end up posting in here eventually . . . and next thing they are spilling their guts about how badly they were treated while a jw . . . and that they have left.

Be cool. . . just avoid those creepy elders. . . if they come again, just don't answer the door, or if they catch you out in the open somewhere say, "Can't talk. . . got an appointment!" and keep walkin'!

Whatever happens, you are still better off on this side of the KH doors!
