Have You Tried To Contact JWs?

i'm sure some of you on this forum have either attempted or perhaps succeeded in contacting other jws or xjws.

personally, i tried it 3x (times).

my first attempt was back in 1993.

I suppose because you don't come with a [label] it is okay to associate with you.

I come with a [DISFELLOWSHIPPED] label . . . as good as dead . . . shunned.

I got feedback from my daughter last week, "Please don't attempt to contact me again."

My son ignores me totally, and has even moved to a new city. I guess I'm a dead demonized MONSTER.

I have an uncle who lives in Brampton, who calls once in a long while. Always manages to preach at me . . . and counts time doing it.

Oh well . . . they sure got their issues to work out. . . Life goes on . . . and for the better at my end.

i am sorry i missed a lot of you.. and i want to welcome you all to the forum!!!!!

I was wondering to myself when the sexual abuse scandal hit "The Fifth Estate" and other media . . . whether or not we would notice a marked increase in the numbers of posters. So I jotted down the number of posters on February 1 as being 8,187. Today, January 14 I noticed the number of posters has increased to 8,314.

8,314 - 8,187 = an increase of 127 new posters in the last two weeks.

I've posted and welcomed a few newbies. I am sorry I missed a lot of you.

And I want to welcome you all to the forum!!!!! I look forward to hearing your stories.

my daughter melanie who is 20, is going through a rough time.

City Life

i moved from a pretty built up real busy brawling area into the more scenic village lifestyle...most people seem to settle into country life but i cant seem to make it home.

as beautiful as the scenery, seasides, mountains and hills are i miss the busy life, the hussle and bussel etc.

thing is my kids have basically grown up in the village and gone to school here (age 5&7, we have lived here 4 yrs), to take them back into city life would be a culture shock and now with their little perfect english accents they would probably be outsiders back in school in the city, especially brummie land where speaking duffy broken english means you fit in.

I grew up on a farm, have lived in small towns and cities . . . love cities the best. . . I'm a confirmed citified gal! Gotta have a few great dance spots and good shopping malls and art classes and stuff to do, ya know. I would die if I was isolated and away from the bustle of people and things to do.

The only other thing I might like. . . is if I was on an acreage just outta city, cuz I would really love to build my very own Labyrinth . . . for meditation purposes.
