2. Even well into the 1950s the Society referred to the year 1931 for the general call to heaven, and not 1935 as they do today.I don't think this JW position has changed. 1931 is still pointed to as the time when it was becoming discernible that some were attending the meetings who did not have a heavenly hope, persons who in fact preferred not to go to heaven. My first "company servant" and his wife were among them. 1935 is pointed to as the date when the heavenly call became "closed" in a general way. It is interesting, though, that the WT article makes no mention of 1935.

Official Secret Policy on Anointing
by Amazing1914 ini suggest the policy is secret because it is not openly discussed anymore, but it still in force.
or better stated, has never been updated by so-called "new light.
" current jws who coem to believe that they are anointed sometimes find this article, and it makes them feel free to partake at the memorial.. it is the most compassionate, kind, and detailed article i ever found on the topic of how jws know they are anointed.

OK believers, time to put up or shut up...
by Gregor inapparently, a large percentage of xjw's who post on this site have embraced some other form of god/jesus belief to replace the wt doctrine.
most of them fall into the "i accept the lord jesus christ as my personal savior" class.
they are still extremely attached to the old "forgiveness of sin through the shed blood of jc" line.

There are fanatical religious believers, and there are fanatical believers in atheism. Let's not forget that the horrible deaths of millions within the Soviet Union was instigated and accomplished by atheistic adherents of godless communism. Still, excess violence and intolerance are not typical of religion any more than "time to put up or shut up" is typical of atheism. Fanaticism is the problem, not belief in God or anti-God belief. When they have the political and/or military power, fanatical religionists will ban and kill those who will not "put up or shut up." Fanatical atheists also have no problem with banning and killing those who will not "put up or shut up."

WT May 15/06 How important we are
by blindersoff inpage 31. the "empty thing" they keep "muttering," or meditating on, is the continuation of their own sovereignty.
nothing shakes them more than any threat to their rulership.
.. the worldwide preaching of the established kingdom of god done by jehovah's witnesses has become just such a threat to the nations.

Re: Trinity confusing ?
by A Paduan ini have seen and read various pieces of wt work stating how christendom's "trinity" is a thoroughly confusing vague mathematically impossible unattainable concept of illusion.
it's a very basic concept.
like asking "how can one person have the authority of the governing body if they aren't the governing body all at the same time ?

Questions:
If a Christian is getting good solid answers by praying to the Father as Jesus taught, why should he or she feel the need to pray to anyone other than the Father?
If prayers to the Father are not being answered, why would one think that he or she could do better by offering prayers to someone else?

inq,
The Roman Catholic Church teaches that prayers should be offered to the Trinity, to the Father, to the Son, to the Holy Spirit, to Mary, to angels and to saints. The Eastern Orthodox Church teaches similarly. In many Protestant churches prayers are offered to the Trinity, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as well as to the Father. In many hymnbooks, hymns containing prayers are addressed to the Trinity or to its members.

I explained trinity very clearly.
If you did, you are the first person in history to do so. Books on the Trinity state that the teaching cannot be explained clearly in human terms.
