I hope that your daughter feels better real soon and gains some weight back. Grand children are the best. I've watched three be born so far. Grandbabies are good for helping you when you are sad.

Great book. I read it a few momths ago. I've loaned it to another EX JW I met. I hope it helps her. Much easier to read than COG, not as dry. But COG was a good book, I've read about a third of it.

Kingdom Hall Alarm codes.
by JEMIMAH injust back from renovating my holiday home in the south west of france.
beats yorkshire anyday.... anyway thought i would share this little account with you.. as most are of you are aware, the alarm code for about 90% of kingdom halls is 1914 (nineteen fourteen).. i t seems though that for the last 8 or 9 quick builds or refurbs in the uk, the brother who installed the numbers into the alarm control panel used the numbers 1975 and explained the number as one nine seven five not the the easier version (ninteen seventy five).. trivial joke or honest mistake, either way this poor brother has been rumbled and has to to meet with 2 elders investigating on behalf of a body of elders to see whether an apostasy charge will be brought.. he is supposed to be meeting with them over the next few days.. .
a very sad jem, who is sick of the whole elder abuse game.

Nope, 1914 is, believe it or not, still being taught as the year Christ returned. It's just that the "generation" that witnessed the change in events since 1914 is now a generation of indefinite length. It could be a lifetime (oops, too late), or several hundred years.
Thank you for explaining that to me. It's been 17 years since I've been borg free. It's to funny that so many KH's use 1914. They might as well just leave the door unlocked. lol

A man I once worked with had a serious operation. At one point his heart stopped and he was Clinically dead. He said that he could see them working on his body. He then was floating above his family in the waiting room. He knew what they were saying word for word. He then saw his father is a very bright light. His father had passed away years before. His father told him that he must go back that it was not his time. He said that he felt like he was being in a vaccum going back into his body. The next thing he remembered was waking up in the recovery room.
He latter told his mom that he heard his sister telling her how they had cut school years before and went to the lake with friends. He said that his mom was in complete shock as his sister had told her about this in the waiting room. I asked his mom about this when she came to the resturant one evening and she verified hhis story.

I congratulate you on your courage to speak out. I hope that you did not loose many family members due to shunning. I know how painful that can be.
I only have that one shuns me. This is because after I heard about the dateline show airing I went on the net looking for anything about the program as I missed it. I ran across Silent Lambs web site. I then wrote a letter to the GB on behalf of Bill Bowen, Jo & Barbara Anderson and all victims of they way the WT handles pedophile issues.
She told me that by speaking against the GB I am a wicked apostate!
I do not understand how they can be so blind. This is a very big problem. The two-witness rule is completely ridicules. Like a pedophile is going to invite someone to watch.
So many are harmed by the GB. The GB needs to be put in jail.
Thank you so much for having the courage to go on dateline.
