Wow there are a lot of EX elders here. That is great that they are seeing the true light instead of their never ending new light.

i'm wondering just how many "active" elders are lurking on this board.
do any of you know if any are here?

i know we were taught to study all the wts stuff.
prepare for each meeting, prepare for service, (gotta know the articles) etc.
i mean with all the personal study to do, how could anyone have time for newspapers, novels etc.
I have to admit that I did study for all the meetings. sheesh....i even read most of the WT & Awake articles.......I even read the daily text....... No wonder my poor brain was so well washed with their crap.

i absolutely detested the watchtower study.
never did an hour go by so slow.
there would the 20 or so paragraphs that had to read and answered, and i would watch the clock.
I hated the thursday night school the worse. If I had to give one of those stupid five minute presentation things I just hated it. I did not like being the house holder either. But all five were so boring that's why it's called the borg. Wish I would have gotten a clue a lot sooner. sheesh......

i was standing at the edge of a meadow , far from any others.
the flowers of spring had opened their peddles to reveal their colors.
the mountains in the distance were still showing their trace of the white winter snow.
Kempodragon,
I enjoyed your story so much. Do you write books? You could write one about the crazy lives that EX JW lived while in the so called truth. Anyways thaks for the story. I'll take one a beer & slice of lime and join the party.

yesterday he was finally fitted with his new feet.
after standing and taking steps he was promised his new feet for next wednesday!
I truely hope that your son will adjusts well. He must be a strong boy or man. I'm sure that it helps to have supportive parents. Kelsey, I know one female Kelsey & one male do you mind saying.....
I wish your son al the best.

I'm new here. I spent an hour looking at this site and decided to join. I was a JW from 1973 to 1986. Yikes! Not a smart thing to do. I really enjoyed reading posts here. i look forward to getting to know the people here. I think that this religion or rather cult has messed up so many families. <sigh>

i mentioned about the elder that masturbated in another post.
this same man at the elder's school, felt that the appropriate course to take against a person that committed suicide was to disfellowship him.
when he was questioned about the reason, he felt that the person, no doubt, committed a sin against the spirit.
I to would like to know something about the "undergarment" that Mormon women wear after they enter the temple. What is the purpose of it?
