i was always very cautious with worldly people but of course i trusted everyone in the congregation 100%.
i trusted someone from the congregation with a business deal and got raked over the coals.
its a long and frustrating story, suffice it to say it cost me a lot of anguish, time and money.
i had 2 so called brothers try and screw me over on money. soon got them sorted out though. the first guy i lent some money to without putting on paper, luckily i had a witness to me lending the money. second guy i had a written agreement with, but he still tried to get out of paying me the money i was due.
Jovos seem to be under the illusion that if they wipe from their mind that they owe you anything, or they treated you badly, then it never happened.

in the congregation that we used to go to, and my parents and most of my relatives still do, very few had hobbies and interests other than being bound to the wtbts.. many made wine and brewed their own beer.
infact, all of my relatives are wine and beer makers.
there are a few gardeners, but i'm hearing how they are trying to grow their own grapes and fruit so that they can make their own wine!.

i remember that magazines and books came in faster than i could read, it was accumulating fast.
in my first years, i didn't dare throw away anything.
even later when i was starting to cool down, i still had mountains of books, magazines and brochures.
i threw them away when after watching the panorama programme on child abuse in the JWs. i would collect them, and then just throw them away. thinking about it, they really should have gone in the recycling bin. nevermind.
i visited pittsburgh over the weekend and i had to see this for myself.

I just read that caption on the second pic - does 'dead with Christ' mean the masons don't believe Christ rose? Or does it mean 'dead (and) with Christ'?
it could mean that russel is dead like the death of the Sun for 3 days after the winter solstice (Christ symbolizing the Sun), and then the connotation that he'll rise again like the sun rises again from the dead on 25th december. other than that, it could be just bad grammar.

used to get bored by the sensationalism of his commentary, a bit like the andy gray(sky sports) x10 of ecology. but he did great work in bringing awareness of animals and the enviroment to people especially kids. find it ironic that he should be killed by such a creature not renowned for its ability to kill.
