  yes i am quitting the forum ,,, i cant keep up with you all.

  i cant remember whos who, so very happy that we have many many new ones,,,, .

  let me tell you i love you all ...i have been so respected by you all & shown much unconditional love..... i know many have my home e-mail..... so if any want to - they know what to do.. i have been on here a long time.... gus,gus ( my wonderful daughter still posts on occasions.

  anyone who has been raised as a jw will most likely be able to relate somewhat to this.. my mother was bringing three children to the meeting and had an unbelieving mate.

  she was incredibly strict.

  i was an extremely unhappy child and teenager.

  Oh luv....................i never realised, even after all our long chats, you had those concerns about being a mum!

  You'll be fine............just don't expect to be perfect, none of us are. as a mother myself, i have regrets, i think we all do....goes with the territory. i didn't make the same mistakes my mother made, i made my own new ones! it's no easy job being a parent but i believe if you do all things (right or wrong) with the purest of heart and motives, it will be ok.

  children are extremely forgiving. i have apologised to my kids for the things they may have missed out on or been hurt with by being dragged into the borg, and by my own human imperfection. they all told me that despite those things they love me for the wonderful childhood i worked hard at giving them and that everything good they had as children came from me. pretty humbling

  unconditional love from both sides is what makes for good parent/child relationships.

  with your gorgeous man by your side............and NO JW doctrines and lies......................you will enjoy the rollercoaster ride of motherhood!

  look forward to the time.........i want a nurse of the baby ok

  I'm Italian born but have lived in Oz since I was 2.

  I have to say, I was going for the Socceroos all the way in this morning's game, and was very disappointed when the ref gave Italy a free kick for one of the best academy award performances I've ever seen.

  Aussies are very proud of our boys' performance and they had Italy very nervous..........a game worth watching until the last few minutes.

  subsequently, this subject caught the interest of media throughout the world who, through careful investigation, substantiated the allegations made on dateline.

  Hello Barbara............I am one of the many who has personally benefited from the 'Dateline' show and particularly 'Sunday' in Australia. My entire family of 7 left the WTS, for many reasons but primarily for the handling of sexual abuse matters.

  Four years ago my husband (we were both jws at the time, but he was using the internet at night, looking up information about the WTS) told me about 'silent lambs' and the dateline show re: sexual abuse. He also found out on this very forum, about the 'Sunday' show well in advance of it's going to air. I firstly panicked and told him he was going apostate and i may go to the elders about it (god i was sick then), then i couldn't help but want to know more about people all over the world who, as my husband told me, had experienced the same treatment by the WTS as i had over the sexual abuse of our child.

  In short, we never went to another meeting again after seeing the Australian show. Seeing others suffering as my family had and the injustices and corruption, made me so furious. And then to hear stupid dubs trying to defend their pathetic religion made it impossible for me to be a part of it any longer. Many knew why we stopped going but were too afraid of coming to us to help in case they would hear more, so they stayed far away.

  As far as i'm concerned i know how much influence the various shows have had on jws and the public in my area. I have had many opportunities to tell both dubs and non dubs about our experiences. i have loaned out the video with 3 different shows covering the scandal, i have discussed the doctrines, practices and beliefs of jws with work colleagues, i have told annoyed people how to get on the do not call list............i have been able to use the media exposure to back my own personal story, it's been very powerful................it has helped to bring to the public's attention the truth about the sick cult known as WTS.

  So to Barbara and all the others who have been able to contribute in some way to bringing the truth out about a subject not many want to touch..................A HEARTFELT THANKS FOR YOUR PERSONAL SACRAFICE WHICH HAS DIRECTLY HELPED ME AND MY FAMILY in being able to make a stand and leave the WTS knowing we are not mad or alone. And particularly THANKS for all the children who have been saved from being sexually abused as a direct result of the shows being aired ................THANKS

  this morning the speaker was late and they had to change the wachtower study with the public talk.. the young elder introducing this, was maybe a bit nervous of this happening (although it is certainly not the first time this year), and told that the public intercourse of the wachttower study would be held first, instead of the public discourse.
