Im not homophobic, but I turned it off not long after the sex scene. It grossed me out, plain and simple.

The pirated version must have been different to the screened version I saw which had two men struggling about in a tent, clothed.

And for all those that seem to think this represents Hollywoods gay agend, it's existed as a short story by Anni Proux for a few years, why weren't y'all complaining about that being published? Where was your nausea, disgust and disapproval?

Of course I support gay marriage and I'm quite content with a civil partnership, but I'd like to muddy the water a little.

Since December 2005 in the UK Civil Partnerships have given same sex partnerships the same legal rights as marriage does to heterosexuals and as a result some prisoners are demanding the right to form a Civil Partnership with their cohabiting partners. If this is permitted it will no doubt be deemed as discriminatory to heterosexual prisoners who cannot cohabit, even if their partners are in prison. So should prison inmates be permitted to form civil partnerships with same sex prisoners?

i had an idea that i could build a uk map of everyones location which would show you instantly who is in your area from jwd.. (it might be an idea to do a seperate us one aswell but i'll wait and see if this one takes off first, or if anyone from the us wants to volunteer to do that one).

(and australia but you are all in the same backyard anyway - literally!!!).

I don't have a nice glib answer for you FD, and although an atheist I confess that I thoroughly enjoy some of the irrationalities associated with many faiths. And I think a lot of brainwashed children on this board managed to free themselves from all sorts of nonsense, just as the religiously educated friends I know have also managed. When it comes down to it I don't seek a planet filled with atheists like me, you and Dawkins.

They are victims.

My point isn't whether or not they are victimns but that in using such loaded language to their Rabbi school teacher Dawkins emotively condemns him as the perpetrator. It's that that I find unhelpful to a debate on faith schools - religious idealogues thrive on confrontation and their faith and resolve is ever strengthened.

I watched it and again found him slightly embarrassing - although the flushed face and angry look in his eye were slightly less prevalent this week. Curiously it reminded me of being a Witness again when Witnesses appeared on TV and they were wack jobs and I'd groan internally.

Dawkins isn't a wack job, I agree with most of his argument but his language is so loaded e.g. refering to children in religious shools as victims, and his manner so dogmatic that his message is slightly obscured. Liked his closing quote that a religion allows good people do bad things.

And has anyone been to a "Hell House"? It looked fantastic!

cnn's anderson cooper has a huge following of female supporters.

his intelligent, handsome, caring, genuine and a vanderbilt heir.

his sexual orientation has been questionable but those in the gay community insist he is the most "openly gay anchor" on tv.

Whether or not he's gay and gagged by CNN has long been discussed by the online gay press - google him and you'll see.

Does it matter whether or not he's out? Unfortunately, yes. The only reason not to be out is because of negative repercussions, and if high profile members of the media remain closeted the situation continues. If the only acceptable gay faces are to be hairdressers, queer eye etc we remain clowns. Considering just how gay the entertainment industry is, how come there are no gay Hollywood stars? Ruper Everett and Nathan Lane are hardly A list.

Underground vaults of Edinburgh

the travel channel aired a show, "most haunted" featuring the city walks and horribly, macabre underground vaults of edinburgh.

supposedly the poor lived beneath the streets in caves and caverns where robbery and murder took place.

the ghosts said to roam the underground rooms are angry and agressive with visitors, sometimes touching, pushing, or calling their names.

In interests of fairness... Glasgow and Edinburgh are both great cities, not as different as chalk and cheese but with enough differences to make them both great places. Visitors to Glasgow may have to look a little harder to find its good points compared to Edinburgh's immediate visual impact, and social inequality may be more apparent in the city centre than in Edinburgh's but it's still well worth spending time in. The fact that Glasgow's pleasures take a little more effort to find probably makes them more satisfying.
