To Sword of Jah
by NaruNaruChan injust a question, but how is it that you can post on a site with apostates on it when we all know if the society caught you that you would be reproved and shunned like us?
also, don't you think it directly interferes with your relationship to jehovah to blatantly disregard counsel given that "bad associations spoil useful habits"?
also, the society recommends that you shun us, so why aren't you?

Why try and pick a fight with him?
I'm not picking a fight, it's genuine curiousity. When I was active, I lurked on here to get answers to stuff that bothered me too, but I just wanted to know his story because I came across a bunch of his posts and it just hit me.. who is this guy/gal and what are they thinking? I mean, it's an admirable goal to try to re-convert people if you think of it on a worldly term, but I mean... really, what mindset does he have? Im so curious.

Since leaving the org..what do you do with the time that you now have free?
by MoeJoJoJo inafter quitting meeting attendance, study for meetings and field service we gain alot of time.
i wasn't used to having that time to just do nothing and i've never been used to doing just nothing (relaxing and having time to stop and smell the roses).
so i joined the pto, my kids signed up for sports, i became a parent volunteer at the school, i became a coach and the list goes on.

The time I spent at meetings has been replaced with time spent hanging out with friends, studying for school, working, SLEEPING IN, and just generally enjoying my newfound freedom. ^_^ I picked up a few hobbies that don't require me to wear pantyhose and heels, like... building models, surfing, etc. ^_^ LIFE IS GOOD!!!

In the ground, in a coffin or an Urn, with a nice marble tombstone cemented in so that if the WTBTS is right those bastards have to work like hell to get rid of my last memory. ^_^

Giving Thanks to Watchtower

although i still come here often to read, i rarely post anymore.

I used to think JW's were extremely devout people, but that's just the image they want to project. I've since learned that deep inside there are many active JWs who don't believe in the WT.
My old best friend... she's one of those, and it drives me nuts, now that I've left and she's still in and practicing shunning.
The more I learn about JWs, the more hypocritical they seem. I've learned about my wife's father (an elder) and his adultry. I found out about how he knowingly laundered "dirt" money (a federal offense). I heard the story of a JW being baptised and still smoking tobacco and pot and living an immoral life.
Her JW fiancee hangs out with heavy drinkers and potheads, plays adult video games, watches porn and R rated movies, and is in "Good standing" in the cong.
I agree with you, though. Thanking the society for teaching me more about what NOT to be. ^_^
