how do you feel about blood now?
the thought of taking a blood transfusion still gives me the creeps... but now i know that i'd take one if my life was on the line.
i'm thinking about giving blood too.
Yes,
Someone has to actually donate blood so the dubs will have an ample supply of aproved blood products.
.
they're waiting for me to come out .
they look hungry too..... .
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary............ OOPS!! Didn't see that Darth!...................................Nevermind!
ok so we all know the lion will lie down with the lamb in the new system.
somehow the lions's 6 inch canines will become redundant and he will suddenly get the urge to eat grass.
acutally the lion's will choose to eat mint and they will jsut remember the missing lamb flavor.
They'll also beach themselves so little children can play with them.
LMAO!!! Thats great!
it has been a few days since i raged and cried for the victims.
it has been a few days since i cursed our government and became forever disgusted with their actions.
it has been a few days since i made my red cross and animal rescue donations.
A unfortunate number of people had no chance to leave but what percentage of victims, given the same situation, would find a way out of town?
a couple of years ago, the red cross had several blood donation trailers set up at a festival .
since i had time to kill, i donated.
it seems like there is always a critical blood supply shortage hard to deal with?

Huh?
i don't actually have anything to add to this.
but - isn't there anyplace in your life that you love this dearly?.
gently feral .
There are some good points in the article. Yes the feds were inexcusibbly slow in their disaster response however competent local planning and execution have saved lives and eased suffering.
The fleet of school busses, rather than being left in a flood zone, could have evacuated hundreds of people.
A truckload of food and water could have been taken to the superdome before the storm hit.
Sanitation planning could have been a small consideration.
Generators?
This event was not unforseeable why did the local government fail to take action?

More innocent victims of the trigger happy police.
Rather than condemning these people we should try to understand how society failed them, forcing them to engage in antisocial behavior such as firing at rescue workers.
