  I am sorry but I could never 'let them know you respect their position' if you really don't! I say lay on the guilt trip! pour it on thick! tell them they are worse than animals adandonning a child of theirs because a cult told them too! I say show how angry you are and let them have ot with both barrels. As far as them saying they have no choice---dont let them play you like that! Tell them they have every choice and to let a cult dictate their lives is choosing to let a cult dictate their lives.

  respect for their beliefs is bullcrap. who says we have to be tolerant of everything and everyone? this is wrong. send them a copy of CoC and tell them you have read 'where it is written' too and you have come to different conclusions. I say if you don't care if you ever talk to them again then go for the gold! They started it with the pretended 'honesty' approach...give em back as good as they dished out. dont play by their rules---you are not a JW and dont have to! Just because they said they will shun you does not mean you have to shun them and 'respect' that nonsense!

  Ravyn, who respects only those who deserve it and only those beliefs worth respecting.(hint--and JWs aint neither!)

  I just remembered something---what about the JW rule about silence being condoning? So if your 'friend' refuses to talk about it or take a stand she is now on the side of the molesters whether she intends to be or not. Lev. 5:1,2

  If any one HEARS of a sin and stays silent they are bloodguilty along with the sinner.

  ahhh..okaaaay..am I reading it wrong? looks to me like it says even if the person leaves the Catholic Church there will be no shunning and it is only a moral issue IF the marriage is flying in the face of Church morals....otherwise go ahead and attend the wedding! And even with a moral issue , it is not a rule that the person not attend....

  sometimes I used to think the JWs were so anti-Catholic because they were secretly jealous of them.

  and yes EWTN is very conservative which is why I thot this was a telling piece of advice. If the conservative Catholics feel THIS way then the liberals must be even looser?

  I realize the scandal in the Catholic church over the child abuse is a horrible thing...but they are now taking care of it as best they can--does not change the past--but will change the future---and isnt that what we all want from the Borg? But the Borg still maintains innocence even when caught out! that is criminal and sick.

  Answer by David Gregson on 09-05-2003:

  There is no canonical restriction against attending the wedding of a noncatholic. But there may be a moral issue. Will it cause scandal? Is there any way in which attending his wedding would suggest you approved or condoned his decision to leave the Catholic Church? For example, if he did so in order to be married contrary to Church law(as, if either of them has a former spouse still living), you wouldn't want to appear to lend your support. However, if no implication is likely to be drawn, that he left the Church in order to enter into this marriage, then there should be no moral problem in your attending his wedding. COPYRIGHT 2003

  i'm sick of my job, sick of the city i'm living in, sick of most of the people who surround me daily.

  like a lot of folks here, i was "encouraged to find education within jah's service" discouraged from seeking further education whilst being raised in the troof.

  were it up to my father, i probably wouldn't have been permitted to attend regular public school, grades k through 12, much less college---education was that much maligned in my family.

  i think this is a question worth considering - just how extreme will witnesses become?.

  first, the hierarchy: there are numerous accounts stretching back for years of gb members skipping meetings,.

  ignoring field service and treating "vital" doctrine in a cavalier fashion.

  thank you OCW too....lizard energies are the shadow side of dreams---well I certainly had alot of dreams that were confusing and disturbing to me last night. I would hate to think that lizard died just to call my attention to that tho....

  I will meditate on this and talk to the Lady tonight about it.

  yes Kira it was a blue tail too.

  I used the ritual from X ^ and some suggestions Odrade sent me in PM....

  I put him where the Venus was and cleared it away so it will get some sunlight, then I put a crystal point and a gray stone I had from a couple of years ago, and a piece of a nearby pine tree with his body and covered him with a piece of white paper over him and put a sunning rock on top with some gravel rocks from the driveway. I said the ritual. The cats attended in the cage of course.

  But tonight I will probably do something to give me some peace---more suggestions?

  I was a regular pioneer for 15 years and never cheated on my time slip. I did this with Lupus and from a wheel chair in the last few years. I did this from wood piles of Tennessee to Beverly Hills to Mountains of Vermont to 40 below in North Idaho to Okfenokee Swamp(GA). I did street work, business territory, isolated territory, Reservations, Los Angeles, and NYC....

  it was all the work of a martyr. and I felt very noble doing it. I was a self-righteous a$$hole.

  I will have to work to get out of the negative brownie points for the rest of my life.
