I must say Herk, I got a chuckle out your "refutations" to what I said.
Each time you resorted to calling me pagan, deceitful, deceived, blind, and deliberately twisting scripture. You also made the arrogant statement of saying I was "running away" when I said it would probably be my last post. Your accusations got so ridiculous I hardly knew where you were coming from. It sounds like you wrote that while you were mad.
I did nothing but quote Scripture, and you found that so offensive. I quoted that the Messiah has everlasting past right out of Scripture. That the Bible says there is one creator, and that Jesus created everything.
You again said I worship three Lords, when I never said that.

Joseph, then you deny scripture. What I said was taken directly from it.
John 5:18 "Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God."

You completely misinterpreting these verses, Joseph. The "sons" of God better translate the "children" of God. See for yourself!
But God only had ONE Son! And this Son was equal with Him, carrying the authority of God on His shoulders.

John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Yes, I do believe that God had ONE Son.

The Jews understood more than you give them credit for. They knew who Jesus was declaring Himself to be -- the great I AM.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Perhaps the way I phrased things are questionable. I assure you, though I put much stock in the Bible, I do not worship it. What I worship is the God it speaks of. Reading this book is the only way to know Him.

Rem, if you look at the first thing I wrote, you will see that these are some reasons why I know the Bible is true. Besides the fact that it is comforting; the Bible is infallible (that's right, not a one contradiction), and studies of history have only validated it.
