Fat and metabolism
by jstalin indid anyone see that 20/20 episode last week about medical misconceptions?
one of them was that there are some people with higher metabolisms than others, thats why there are some super skinny people and fat people.
the reality was very interesting.

I agree that the more you move the more weight you'll lose. But for inactive people, it can be too difficult to just get up and start an exercise routine. I think it's alot easier to start with minimizing your protion size, and start eating healthy first, then start an exercise routine.

Would you buy a white car?
by JH in.
many years ago, there were many white cars around, but since 10 years around here, maybe 1% of cars are white.
and most of them are old cars.. i don't know if this is just a local thing, but you just don't see white cars anymore in most new car dealer parking lots.. for some reason, i still like white and haven't had one in years, and i do change car often, and was wondering if white is "out" and old fashioned now a days..... i think that there are many white cars where the climate is hot, but up here in canada, it ain't so..

I used to own a white '92 Toyota Mr2 Turbo. Fun car but white was a bitch to keep clean. Maybe it depends on the weather. Washington is always rainy and cars get really muddy. Don't think I'd ever buy a white car again.

Re: What do you do for a living?
by MARTINLEYSHON inas many of you are aware being brought up in the organisation, there was a general directive from the wt that secular education was good, but not encouraged as far as university and further education was concerned.
many witnesses left school in the 70s with no formal qualifications.
my question therefore is 2 fold.. 1. what would you have liked to become as far as your career is concerned?.

I would have liked to be a Forensic Scientist. But I could only afford to go to 2 years of college.
Now I work as a Designer/Lead engineer. I design high end retail store interiors. (Tommy Hilifiger, Caoch, Tiffany's, Bloomingdales, Pottery Barn.. etc.)
