My inlaws are Mormon and they always say Amen outloud. I did when I was a JW, but not anymore.

Saying Amen Out Loud
by Sunspot inafter having been accustomed to three decades of prayers at the kingdom hall, where "amen" was said out loud at the end; i then attended a large church funeral for a relative---the pastor said a prayer---and *i* said "amen" out loud.
much to my embarrassment, out of over a hundred or so people there, i was the only one that did..............[color me red].
are jws the only ones who do this?.

i traded in my 1997 vw jetta (which had tons of problems....i'd just figured i'd gotten a bum car and decided to give the new jetta's a try).

I heard hondas are pretty reliable, but the insurance is really high. I also own a chrysler Sebring (piece of crap).

The light blue one is nice. I like the red one too. Wearing black or white to a wedding is a no-no.

Does anybody know how to establish Credit?

i went to the dealership to buy a car, but was turn down, no credit history.
i have tried to apply for credit cards, but been turned down.

Rent an apartment for a year. That will give you a little credit. I was able to get a credit a card with when I had no credit but the limit was only $500.00. You can also try get a credit card from sears, or nordstrom, instead of visa. That will help establish your credit. It took me about a year to establish enough credit to buy a car without having a co-signer.

Television shows that you could not watch.
by shamus instealing someone elses thread about music..... what were some of the television shows that you thought were just too horrible to think of watching, or were conseled on watching?.
i got reamed out for watching the simpsons.
i just laughed at the ms who freaked on me.

I wasn't allowed to watch scooby-doo, smurfs, he-man, married with children, the twilight zone, people's court, divorce court, any r-rated or pg-13 movies. I would have to hide my music cd's from my parents because they would take them away if they thought they were "questionable". Once I got into my late teens, they finally started letting me listen to whatever I wanted and go to concerts.
