Viv, darling.....
Think of it....considering Canada's connection to the beloved Nederlands, why not...at least think of it?
Canada.
It's not bad for a non-European nation, in fact it's pretty funky!
You might like it, even the beavers, whiskey-jacks, raccoons, and crazy Canucks licking maple syrup toffee off of snow.
Just a thought...nothing more....

Receipe Request for Beer Bread
by darkuncle29 inreceipe request for beer bread.
like the topic says.
i will most likely be using seltzer water instead of beer; the beer i have in the fridge is just too nasty for anything.

I dunno about you, but I think we should all head over to "Dark Uncle's" place, eh?
Sounds like a smorgasbord in east Washington: Interstate 90 is lookin' good right about now.

El Blanko, I'm not entirely sure if you are referring to a persons 'said' masculinity or effeminancy as a precursor to '?' maybe possible homosexual congenital dispositions.
Just for clarification, but if a person is gay, the notion that one aspect of any 'gender' is stronger than the other, within a person, doesn't always happen that way. Some women (gay) are very effeminant; some men (gay) are very masculine. Thus they can be rather unassuming. But even if either gender seems more effeminant/masculine as per so-called socially acceptable norms: so be it.
If one holds the bible and their belief in god a 'particular' way, the remarks and posts will reflect accordingly.
Not all of us believe in the bible. Some of us take what we can from it. If anything at all.
Personally, I do not believe in it, nor adhere to many of its rules.
The sun rises and sets on me, just the same.
If there is a 'god', I think it would only be befitting and proper to let him/her judge me, and not at the hands and whims of my fellow humans.
I have once too many times, seen the folly of that.
Check out SFJim's link, it's really interesting and intriguing. If for nothing else, and excellent 'other' point-of-view.

El Blanko, what Jim wrote or at least has provided a link to, is quite impressive.
As for DarkUncle29, his sexuality does NOT bother his conscience; that is a fundie remark if I ever heard one. Sorry, that's how it comes across, and we've heard it all before.
A person committed suicide.
Do we sit back and make moral judgement and/or ambiguous replies, clouding over what's really a very sad and tragic situation.
Suicide, in relation to the WTBTS is not, of course, not just a 'gay' crisis from within, it happens to other members of their congregations. Dansk posted a thread about a specific case, which lead to many people on this forum, opening their hearts about the sadness and despair that they incurred as Jehovah's Witnesses.
It's interesting how people, those that claim to hold the bible as the 'be all and end all', can either be the most judgemental or Christ-like, and not a whole lot of in-between. Jesus, from what I recall, hung out with the 'sinners', and criticized and challenged the 'priests' in the temple. Yes, those that carried out judgements and were so biblically scholarly, only to be given a 'good swift kick' by Jesus himself.
If I had my choice of hanging out with religious folks, I'd dare to guess, the Jesus would be a 'cool' guy, and would probably be worthy of hanging out with, not like some human beings full of 'Jesus' and 'Jehovah' like today.

Cyberguy, that was an interesting post.
This is not unique, and well...there are a number of reasons former JWs/present JWs, commit suicide.
But you can be damned sure, the topic of homosexuality, within the confines of the WTBTS can drive a person to suicidal thoughts.
I've been there.
El Blanko: so all we can focus upon is speculation as to his sexual prowess or perceived 'sexual activities'? Geez, so much for compassion and sympathy.
DarkUncle29: I have nothing further to add.
