the details of who to send a gift to will be getting pm'd to you all either friday afternoon or saturday morning!
according to the information i've found online the last posting day for standard parcels is dec 11th for usa and december 15th for the uk/europe, so you should all have plenty of time to select and send a gift, although sending sooner rather than later is prefered.
can everyone taking part post on this thread what things they like, what their interests are etc so that the person who is buying a gift for you has some idea what to get you.
Well...let's see. I finally got my Secret Santa name. Not sure who it is, but well...I'll figure something out.
Me? I enjoy non-fiction books (used is OK).
CDs: music, something unique, independent bands/artists. I tend to like rock, alternative, punk, compilations, that sort of thing. (used is OK)
Thanks!
Ray
his name was jr. he was 15 years old.
if i can find out how to post the local newspaper story about him i'll do that.
or maybe the website for the paper???
Hi Panda.
Let me tell you, there's nothing more painful than the loss of a pet. Especially one that you were personally close to.
I had a pet cockatiel. His name was: Sammy. He was 15 years of age when he died. Thing was, he died accidentally, not from old age.
Sammy was a very friendly personable bird, but one day he decided to venture outside of his cage and ended up playing in a plastic bag. Needless to say: Sammy suffocated. When I found him, I was a complete and utter mess. I never cried so hard in my life. Sammy was playing, not thinking he'd ever succumb to a simple walk into a plastic bag that I placed on the daybed in his room. He was 15, funny and friendly. He could talk, make head gestures and he enjoyed human companionship.
I was depressed for months. But along came a beautiful female cockatiel named: Sunshine. We did not know originally that she was a 'she', but she was, after laying a dozen eggs.
To this date, I have birds. I have one budgeriar (Budgie) and one cockatiel. Both are rescued birds. Both are incredibly friendly and funny.
Just the same, creatures big or small, when they affect us in the ways that they do, there's no denying their impact.
Panda: I extend my condolences to you.
Big Hugs from Ray and tiny ones from his two feathered friends.
as do a hundred other images kicking my head from falluja and ramadi and cote de ivoire.
what else can you say though, but "jesus christ!"?.

It's not uncommon to see referrals to 'god' as: he/him.
That being said, I have often wondered at that, that because of religions' constant referral to God as male, if he/him, is not: Manmade?
Just wondering.
to think that one of our most beloved valuptuous babes (british columbia), landed a married gig with tommy lee.
