Too funny Syn.
Thanks for my Monday morning laugh.
here is a brief outline i have prepared for the brothers (not brotherettes) who will be handling the symposium at our international conventions entitled "dangers of the internet : do not be misled by those naughty, naughty apostates":.
part one - getting to know the enemy's territory.
ever since alan turing developed his theory of the computational engine, things have been looking dark for all witnesses of jehover on the electronic information frontier.
Too funny Syn.

we do indoor activities like making perogies.
Thought I'd give everyone an update. We made 30 dozen perogies last night. We ran out of dough. So after our friends left I made another batch of dough. Made another 8 dozen this morning. Ran out of dough again. Will continue making them tomorrow. Another 8 dozen.
And yes Mr. XJW decided to go and get one of those "stupid" hunky bill perogy makers. (rolliing my eyes) The guys made them that way while us girls made them the old fashioned way. Needless to say, the old fashioned way seemed to be faster. As the guys would make 18 to our couple of dozen. I'll try to give hunky bill another chance, but yes I'm a stubborn ukrainian, I rather throw hunky bill in the garbage.

my sis had a boy!!!
he's a week old.
we have soooo many friends now.
Welcome back, Tashawaa.
Yes I'm new here. Congrats on becoming an auntie.
And yes its amazing how many more true friends we have out of the borg. My hubby and I have to keep a calendar up to date, trying to fit in our friends into the weekends. Whenever one of our friends call, I have to look on our calendar to make sure we're free. Never had that problem in the borg.
I really have to get off this board and start getting ready to make perogies

Mmmmm, wish I was there... could use a few "beverages" and I'm an awesome pincher!
Tashawaa, yes we could use some awsome pinchers. Our house is always open for friends.
I don't know how well our hubby's will hold up, but hopefully if we pump them with enough liquid refreshment, they're pinching fingers won't give out on them.
I'm going to have to get off this board soon as the perogy making spree starts at 2:30 p.m.
i'm sure some of you on this forum have either attempted or perhaps succeeded in contacting other jws or xjws.
personally, i tried it 3x (times).
my first attempt was back in 1993.
Hey Blade. How are you.
I've never tried to contact ones myself as I know I'll get brushed off by them. But just yesterday I was grocery shopping and happed to walk by an old friend who is still in the org. She actually stopped to talk to me, I couldn't believe it. When we left the org. her husband was an elder, I still believe he is she was going through a rough time. 8 years ago she was walking at night down a country road with her sister and her sister was hit by a snowmobiler. She died that evening. The force of the hit from the snowmachine blew her right out of her boots. Her boots stayed but she went flying. It was awful. So my old friend was in and out of the hospital with deep depression. Of course being in the borg, didn't help her. I remember my parents talking behind her back saying that she should basically get a grip, start going to meetings and service, but instead she isolated herself and of course that's whay she had problems.
Geez, they think that everything is going to be fixed by attending meetings and going door to door. She was never allowed to grieve like normal people. Jw's are so cold hearted.
Enough venting, It was nice to see her again. But she said she is still suffering. I just wanted to hug her. Maybe next time I see.

Hey Outlaw exactly the way we like them. Yum Yum
Hi Shutterbug, its a good old ukrainian recipe. You roll out the dough and cut into circles, you put a bit of the potato mixture on the dough circle, fold it over and pinche the edges shut. You boil them until they float to the top of the surface of water. Then you transfer them to a pan of fried onions and butter and saute them for a while. you serve them with sour cream on top. They truly are very yummy.
Something we'll have to introduce to you Americans at a good old Canadian Apostafest.
