Satan is put into prison for one thousand years before he is destroyed. I too want satan dead, afterall he is the reason for all badness. He will not be allowed to mislead the nations anymore.

Realising the world is not going to end is an important step in recovering from indoctrination.
I choose to believe what the bible says. It says there will be an end, so people that refuse to believe are just fooling themselves.....have a good day

I never let a relgious organization affect my mind. Afterall I choose what I want to believe, other people cannot force me to do so. I do not carry scars from the W.T.S. I am not that weak minded that I allow things to affect my life. So you don't believe what they teach just move on and try to find a religion you agree with. I for one take from all religions not just sticking with one main believe. That is why I call myself a Christian to remain neutral and not get affiliated with this belief or that. Anyway I am about out of posts chat with you all later.

I don't have much of a story, I just believe that this world has an end. I read many varying opinions on what the end will be like, when it will come, and so on so forth. There are too many headlines of people dying and losing their lives from disasters and war. We need a change in this world, and I believe only God can fix it. So I keep searching on what I might find helpful just to build my faith and hope in God. I am keeping on the watch like Christ tells us to, for we do not know when the end will be. I am not perfect, I make mistakes and never claim to be a perfect Christian. I am a sinner in need of foregiveness from God, so I do my best in adhering to what the bible teaches. Other then that I am easy going and try not to engage in verbal conflict with other people about religion. To each his own I say....

Memorial Day.... still struggling with the idea of war and support
by Butterflyleia85 inso i do respect and am very greatful for the sacrifies those who dedicated their family, lives, etc.
to defend our freedom, lives, and land, but if we lived in a world where we lived as monks or jehovah's witnesses (basicly just the practise of no war).... would that be wrong?.
what's a good lesson or level of reasoning when supporting the idea of war?.

It would be intersting to know what teachings of JWs you agree with. Perhaps you could tell us on another thread. Is it their shunning of family members, their failed prophecies or something else?
I have read peoples views on the W.T.S. and it is obvious you all have issues with them. I am not here to engage in hate speach against any other religion. As I mentioned I am limited on the number of posts so I am moving on....see ya

I am a christian have studied with J.W.'s and believe some of their teachings. The bible plainly states not to kill and if all people would listen there would be no wars. I respond how I do who are you to dictate what I do?

I for one will not go to war or support it. I have only 10 posts so have to use them wisely.
have you been watching the news about Syria? Perhaps world war III would make warmongers happy.
Warmonger is a pejorative[1] term that is used to describe someone who is eager to encourage people or a nation to go to war. Monger is an old word for a peddler.

If you saw somebody beating up or raping another person and you had the ability and tools to stop it through the effective use of force - deadly force if necessary - it would be unethical not to do so.
It is the concept of war, it is not right to war. I leave is up to God to fix it. If I had a chance to help a person I would instead of standing around.
http://www.ppu.org.uk/learn/infodocs/st_pacifism_m1.htmlSome dictionary definitions:
Pacifism: the conviction that war should be abolished.
Pacifism: opposition to war and violence as a means of settling disputes
Pacifism: complete renunciation of violence, even in self-defence, in settling disputes.
Pacifism: advocacy of opposition to war through individual or collective action against militarism.
Pacifism: the doctrine of opposition to all wars, including civil wars. Its most obvious feature is the personal commitment to non-participation in wars, except possibly in a non-combatant role. Pacifists also advocate efforts to maintain peace and support disarmament. -
