YHWH or YHVH is accepted as GOD's name. I prefer Heavenly Father because there is only One Heavenly Father, whereas there are many god's. It also unifies people if they accept the fact that there is only One Father.......

So where is all this supposed worldwide persecution of Jehovah's Witnesses?
by Reality79 infor years, it was drummed into our heads that the whole world lies in the hands of the wicked one who hates us and a result, mankind particularly hates the jws with a passion.. now that i think about it, i've seen very little evidence of that.
i mean yes, in places like malawi, germany and some other countries the witnesses have been through real persecution - not the type that the average dub would call it like doors being slammed in the face.
but what have they experienced that many other religions in other countries haven't?

Why would all the nations hate J.W.'s on the account of Jesus? You will be hated by all the nations, you will be put into prison, you will hate one another and kill one another, you will be mislead by false prophets....etc.etc. Does this sound like it is happening to J.W.'s? No, in fact it is happening to the Palestinians, or the nation of Islam.....the descendants of Ishmael, Abraham, you know....... Christs brothers......

WHO is a lair..... humans have ALSO come to know good by the way that we have chosen to live our lives. And did GOD know this would take place.......not of GOD's choosing, but of those that He created? [somebody]
Satan is the father of the lie so I am saying that satan is a liar. Of course GOD knew that some would know good. We are given the choice of good and evil. There are many accounts of those that chose GOD over satan. I choose to live my life in a good way, it helps to avoid heartache and pain. I stay free from drugs, too much alcohol, smoking, etc. etc. I build a good name by being kind to another person and they learn to trust me. The account of Adam and Eve means so much more than what people take it as. He that seeks shall find so pray for understanding and wisdom....

stauros, if you are "saved" by the way you live, than what is the need for a symbol? el christo is supposed to know your heart. the fact is, baptism has become a pledge of allegiance to a particular sect. which is fine, but doesnt that just become an empty show to gain acceptance from people? or did i answer my own question? [fakesmile]
Christ says, you must repent and be baptized so we do. Batpism is a symbol of death and rebirth, you know this. You put to death your former ways, and are reborn to a new life under GOD's rules, or commandments. It also represents resurrection after a person dies. Some people believe they are saved simply by being baptized, this is not the case. If you become baptized yet you continue to willfully sin, then the baptism means nothing.

I got baptized twice, once as one of Jehovah's Witnesses at the age of 18, and more recently with the Church of Christ. I have always believed in GOD so baptism is just a symbol of your faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism alone does not save you, the way you live your life does.
